Diego Boneta, Adria Arjona, & More Attend the 'Father of the Bride' (2022) Premiere in Miami!

The remake of Father of the Bride is being released on HBO Max this week and the cast stepped out for a red carpet premiere!

Diego Boneta, Adria Arjona, Gloria Estefan, and Andy Garcia attended the premiere on Tuesday (June 14) in Miami, Fla.

Also in attendance were co-stars Isabela Merced, Chloe Fineman, Casey Thomas Brown, and Ruben Rabasa, as well as director Gary Alazraki and producers Jeremy Kleiner and Paul Perez.

Here is the film’s synopsis: “Billy (Garcia) and Ingrid (Estefan) are surprised when their eldest daughter Sofia (Arjona) comes home to Miami for a visit, announcing a new boyfriend, Adan (Boneta)—who is now her fiancé—and their plans for a wedding and a new life together in Mexico. Family relationships are tested as the roller coaster ride of wedding planning races toward the altar. This sparkling story of a modern rom-com updated from a timeless classic illustrates the surprising and funny ways the heart can adapt in the name of love.

Gloria Estefan & Andy Garcia Join Adria Arjona & Diego Boneta at 'Father of the Bride' Screening in Mexico

The stars of Father of the Bride are bringing their new movie to Mexico!

Gloria Estefan, Andy Garcia, Adria Arjona, and Diego Boneta posed together on the violet carpet at the latest screening of their new HBO Max on Tuesday (June 7) at Hacienda Los Morales in Mexico City, Mexico.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Pedro Damian and Macarena Achaga along with director Gaz Alazraki.

The movie follows a young woman named Sofia (Arjona) giving her parents Billy (Garcia) and Ingrid (Estefan) quite the surprise when she unexpectedly announces her engagement to her short-term boyfriend Adnan (Boneta).

While trying to get everything done for the wedding, Billy and Ingrid are also planning to tell their family that they will be getting a divorce, which they hope to keep a secret until after the wedding is over.

In a recent interview, Gloria addressed the possibility of joining the cast of this very popular Bravo reality series.

Father of the Bride will be released on HBO Max on June 16. Watch the trailer here!

Gloria Estefan to Star in 'Father of the Bride' Remake

Gloria Estefan is joining the cast of the upcoming Father of the Bride remake.

Deadline reports that the 63-year-old entertainer is set to star alongside Andy Garcia in the reboot, which is being directed by Gaz Alazraki.

The original Father of the Bride movie starred Spencer Tracy and was released in 1950. A beloved remake starring Steve Martin was released in 1991.

'Father of the Bride' Remake with Andy Garcia is in the Works!

A remake of the classic movie Father of the Bride is in the works!

Andy Garcia is set to star in the upcoming movie, which will focus on a Cuban-American family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will follow the “father of a soon-to-be bride coming to terms with daughters’ nuptials,” but this version will be told through “the relationships in a big, sprawling Cuban-American family.”

Club de CuervosGaz Alazraki will direct the film with a script by Matt Lopez.

Andy said in a statement, “I’m very excited to join The Father of the Bride, a beloved film that has brought so much joy to so many over the years and to represent my Cuban culture and heritage in this story. I commend Warner Bros. for their foresight and celebrate this opportunity they have created.”

'Father of the Bride' Reunion is Heading to Netflix!

A Father of the Bride reunion is happening!

On Tuesday (September 22), Netflix teased on Twitter that a special Father of the Bride event was coming on later this week.

In its first tweet, Netflix teased that “something is coming,” and shared a video showing the desktop of George Banks’ computer.

In the video, George (Steve Martin) receives an invitation to a family video call for Friday, September 25, as well as emails from kids Annie Banks-MacKenzie (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Matty Banks (Kieran Culkin), son-in-law Brian MacKenzie (George Newbern), and wedding coordinator Franck Eggelhoffer (Martin Short).

Several hours later, Netflix invited fans to “Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish),” which will be directed by Nancy Meyers, who co-wrote the first two films.

Father of the Bride was released in 1991, following George Banks has he struggles to grip the reality that his 22-year-old daughter Annie would be getting married. In 1995, a sequel was released, which followed Annie and George’s wife Nina (Diane Keaton) both pregnant at the same time.
