The first trailer for the upcoming Christmas comedy Godmothered has been released ahead of its debut on Disney+ next month!

Isla Fisher and Jillian Bell star in the family comedy, which was directed by Sharon Maguire, the director of Bridget Jones’s Diary and Bridget Jones’s Baby.

Godmothered premieres on Disney+ on December 4.

Set at Christmas time, Godmothered is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.

Also pictured in the first look images is Willa Skye, who plays one of Isla’s daughters.

The movie was directed by Sharon Maguire, who is best known for Bridget Jones’s Diary and Bridget Jones’s Baby.

Godmothered premieres on Disney+ on December 4.

Eva Longoria has landed a new role!

The 45-year-old Desperate Housewives actress has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy Unplugging, Deadline reports.

Eva stars in the movie alongside Veep‘s Dan Walsh, Back to the Future‘s Lea Thompson, There’s Something About Mary‘s Keith David, Nailed It! host Nicole Byer, and The Way Back‘s Al Madrigal.

Here’s the synopsis: “After the death of a friend, Dan (Walsh) is inspired to whisk his wife Jeanine (Longoria) away to a remote town for a ‘digital detox.’ Their romantic weekend quickly turns disastrous with unearthly encounters, strong edibles and bizarre locals. With no cell or Internet service, they’re lost, but end up reconnecting with each other along the way home.”

Originally, Isla Fisher was supposed to play by Jeanine, but was replaced by Eva after a schedule conflict.

It was recently announced that Eva Longoria will also be starring in and directing in a new action comedy!

Isla Fisher and Jillian Bell have kicked off filming for their upcoming Disney+ comedy movie Godmothered!

The actresses were spotted filming the upcoming family film on Monday afternoon (January 20) in Boston, Mass.

THR reports that the movie will follow “a young and unskilled fairy godmother (Bell) that ventures out on her own to prove her worth by tracking down a young girl whose request for help was ignored. What she discovers is that the girl has now become a grown woman (Fisher) in need of something very different than a ‘Prince Charming.’”

Sharon McGuire, who directed the Bridget Jones movies, is directing the film.

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen were a jewel tone couple at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards!

The 43-year-old actress and 48-year-old actor hit the red carpet at the event on Sunday (January 5) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

During the show, Sacha is up for Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Film for his role in The Spy.

The Golden Globes will be hosted by actor and comedian Ricky Gervais this year, marking his fifth time as host. Make sure to tune in at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC.

FYI: Isla is wearing a Monique Lhuillier gown and Dena Kemp jewelry. Sacha is wearing a Dolce&Gabbana tuxedo with Christian Louboutin shoes.

The 43-year-old actress kept things chic in an all black outfit while the 48-year-old actor looked cool in a striped shirt and plaid pants for the event.

Sacha Baron Cohen recently was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in the Showtime series The Spy and he totally transformed his body for the role… and now his wife Isla Fisher is showing off his buff new physique!

The 48-year-old Borat actor is seen going shirtless in a new workout video posted to Isla‘s Instagram page.

“So proud of the Hubs @sachabaroncohen getting a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a limited series. He worked so hard transforming for his role in The Spy- not just getting rid of his dad-bod (see video) but learning three dialects, including Syrian and living in Casablanca, mainly in character for 4 months while shooting,” Isla captioned the below video. “This honor is shared with Eli Cohen‘s family, thank you for letting him bring the story to screen and to the HFPA 🌟.”
