Jamie Bell Might Reprise 'Jumper' Movie Role in a TV Series

Jamie Bell might be heading back to television in a series based on his 2008 movie Jumper!

The 31-year-old actor starred in the movie alongside Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson nearly a decade ago.

Jamie is working with Doctor Who‘s Julian Simpson to adapt the film into a series and there’s a chance he’ll reprise his role of Griffin in the show, according to Deadline.

Jumper followed a guy with a genetic anomaly who had the ability to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between Jumpers and those who have sworn to kill them.

Jamie Bell 'Quickly' Knew He Was Going to Marry Kate Mara

Jamie Bell and Kate Mara tied the knot recently and now he’s opening up about how he knew they’d get married soon after they became a couple.

The 31-year-old actor is on the cover of ES Magazine‘s new issue, on newsstands now. Here’s what he shared with the mag:

On his wife Kate Mara: “There was an instant connection, like we’d known one another forever. It was obvious very quickly that we were going to get married.”

On fatherhood and raising a family: “I never watch any of the movies I’ve done. I never take any of it that seriously, but without question the thing I’m proudest of achieving is my son. I’m obsessed. Every moment I spend with him I fall a little bit more for him. It’s almost kind of painful, that thing when you are falling into something so unconditionally.”

On how the experience of becoming a parent has made him more understanding of his father, who left before he was born: “It’s difficult raising a child. It’s really stressful. It requires a lot of you. You have to sacrifice your life and some people don’t want to do that. It’s not particularly noble, but I could see why the easier thing is to leave.”
