Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki arrive at The CW’s Upfront presentation held at New York City Center on Thursday (May 17) in NYC.

The actors’ sci-fi drama, Supernatural, is moving to a new night for the 2012-13 fall season.

It’ll air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. after Arrow, a new series starring Stephen Arnell. The show centers around Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy who was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island.

The day before, the 29-year-old actor met with fans at a convention for his hit sci-fi show Supernatural.

The CW recently picked up the series, which co-stars Jensen Ackles, for an eighth season. Other shows on the network that will be returning: The Vampire Diaries and 90210!

Here’s the synopsis for this Friday’s all-new episode of Supernatural titled “There Will be Blood”: Sam and Dean must locate three key items to defeat Dick Roman and the Leviathans, and Castiel aids them in their request. Meanwhile, Bobby attempts a new ghost trick that turns out to be extremely dangerous.

Jared, 29, got back to work on the CW show after his wife, Genevieve, gave birth to their son Thomas Colton last week.

Here’s the synopsis for a brand new Supernatural episode airing this Friday (March 30) at 9/8c: Dean is surprised when he gets a call from Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) asking for the brothers’ help on a case. Sam and Dean discover they are battling a Shojo, a Japanese creature sent to seek revenge on enemies. The worst part about fighting a Shojo? You can only see it when you’re drunk.

Jared Padalecki and Genevieve have revealed the name of their newborn son: it’s Thomas Colton Padalecki!

Thomas, who was born on Monday (March 19), weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz., a rep for the actor told People. He is the first child for the Supernatural actor and his sweetheart.

“We’ve thrown around countless names, probably every one in the books, and a few that we kinda made up, but we both agree that we’d like to meet our child before we decide on a name,” Jared told Tonic back in October.

Jared Padalecki and his wife Genevieve have welcomed a baby boy!

“It’s a boy :)” the 29-year-old Supernatural actor wrote on his Twitter account.

Jared‘s pal D.J. Qualls sent him a tweet saying “Yay! Congrats! I love you, buddy!” to which Jared replied “ditto :)”.

Jared and Genevieve announced that they were expecting a boy last October.

“We’ve thrown around countless names, probably every one in the books, and a few that we kinda made up, but we both agree that we’d like to meet our child before we decide on a name,” Jared told Tonic.

The Supernatural co-stars flew in from Southern California where they mingled with fans at Creation Entertainment’s “Salute to Supernatural” convention in Burbank over the weekend.

Fans have been generously donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital after Jared – who’s expecting his first child with wife Genevieve Cortese – asked for donations in lieu of gifts.

The goal was $20,000 but more than $28,000 has been raised so far on FirstGiving.com!

Supernatural returns to the CW from its hiatus on March 16 with an episode titled “Out With the Old.”
