Chace Crawford Just Told a Story That He Says Blake Lively Loves!

Chace Crawford had the opportunity to become a Chippendales dancer and he’s opening up about the funny story in an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!

The 35-year-old Gossip Girl actor appeared on the show on Monday (September 21) to promote the second season of The Boys, which is airing now on Amazon Prime Video.

Blake Lively actually loves this story. I’ve never gotten to fully tell it. So yes, I did turn [Chippendales] down. I lived in New York. It’s cold, I liked to work out in the gym in my building and usually no one’s ever up there, except this one guy, he’d always be up there,” he said.

Chace said the guy was the type of man that would wear “cologne” and “tight clothes” to the gym and thought he was a trainer.

“He comes up to me one day, a bit of a close talk, super nice by the way, but he’s like, ‘Are you like a model-type? Are you a model?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m kinda like a workout alone, no conversation type,’” Chace said. “I’m teasing. He was very nice.”

“He asked me for some headshots, which I, you know, usually carry to the gym, but didn’t have them that day,” he jokingly said. “He goes, ‘I do this bootcamp. Would you like to try out for Chippendales?’”

Chace said he politely turned down the offer and he’s glad his “plan B” worked out well. We are too!

Take a look back at what Chace and the rest of the Gossip Girl cast looked like in 2007!

“How did you choose ‘Maneater?’ I love that song!” Jimmy asked.

“I think it’s very important to be transparent. I’m freshly single, so anyone watching that’s my future ex-husband, just know, I told you,” she warned.

“I’m just [like], just wear it all out in the open. There’s no skeletons in the closet, I warned you first,” she said with a laugh.

Miley recently split with boyfriend Cody Simpson back in August after dating for nearly a year, following her split from Liam Hemsworth in 2019 after less than a year of marriage.

“When I walked into that room, I was pretty sure that I wasn’t playing the role. It was a weird audition because Dougray Scott had the role and then he got caught up in Mission: Impossible 2,” he said.

“It was like this Hail Mary to begin with, which is probably the best way to do an audition. You’re going in like ‘Eh,’” he continued.

He also remembered being driven to the airport by Kevin Feige, who was an assistant on X-Men before becoming the creative head of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“No one understood it was the beginning of, like, Comic-Con was a 50,000-person thing. The internet was really just beginning. No one really understood. What they thought was like, a subculture. Comic books was actually mainstream but no one knew that,” he went on to say.
