Mike Shinoda is sharing an update with fans following the death of his former Linkin Park bandmate Chester Bennington, who committed suicide at the age of 41.
The 40-year-old musician has already revealed that the news left him “shocked and heartbroken,” and Linkin Park has released an official statement as well.

Now, one week after the death, Mike has taken to Twitter to explain how fans can celebrate the late singer’s life.
“One week. Feels like forever. I’m here for a couple updates,” Mike wrote, adding, “If you need a (local) place to celebrate Chester, look to http://tiny.cc/lpmemorial and the amazing fan sites I’ve previously mentioned.”
He continued by letting fans know how they can donate and buy merchandise in Chester‘s honor, as well as what to do if they are having suicidal thoughts.
He also thanked fans for their love and shared a drawing of the band’s interconnected hands.
