The Navy SEALs drama Lone Survivor won out this weekend’s box office with an impressive $38.5 million opening!
Starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, and Ben Foster, the film had one of the best showings for a war film in recent memory, according to THR.
Coming in second place was Disney’s Frozen, which earned an additional $15 million and pushed its domestic total to a whopping $317 million.
Taking the No. 3 spot was The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Matthew McConaughey, which grossed $9 million.
Rounding out the top five were Kellan Lutz‘ new flick The Legend of Hercules and the star-studded American Hustle, which tied with $8.6 million each.
Meanwhile, August: Osage County made $7.3 million in 905 theaters, and Her expanded to 1,729 theaters, earning $5.4 million.
