Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, may be under fire for his purported romantic relationship with Madonna but he is ON FIRE in this brand spankin’ new commercial for Guitar Hero: World Tour.

In the vid, A-Rod is featured alongside some of the world’s greatest in sports — Kobe Bryant, Tony Hawk and Michael Phelps. Each of the athletes pay tribute to the famous scene in Risky Business featuring Tom Cruise. Kobe rocks the mic, A-Rod and Phelps rip it up on guitar, and Tony Hawk slides in on a skateboard to play the drums.

The vid was directed by Brett Ratner, who most recently directed the music videos for Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is in stores starting this Sunday, October 26. The game features a newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit (with cymbals!) and a mic. Siiiiiiiick!

Olympic swimming hero Michael Phelps holds up a TRL-branded speedo at MTV Studios in Times Square on Wednesday in New York City.

In related news, Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher have approached Phelps about doing a reality show.

“It will focus on Michael’s new life and fame,” an insider tells Life & Style. “Demi and Michael were really chummy at the MTV Video Music Awards after-party in September. She and Ashton are amazed by how humble and down-to-earth he is. They think America will fall in love with him.”

One thing is certain: Michael, 23, is already in love with Demi and Ashton. “He loved Ashton’s Punk’d show,” adds the insider. “And he’s had a crush on Demi since he was a kid!”

Don’t miss Olympics swimming champion Michael Phelps test out his comedic chops as host on tonight’s season premiere of Saturday Night Live!

“I was a little nervous coming into this whole thing, but I’ve actually started to get really, really excited,” Phelps said Thursday on a conference call from NYC. “I’m definitely looking forward to Saturday. This is a completely new experience for me, but something that is going to be pretty fun.”

Phelps follows in the athletic footsteps of such as LeBron James, Peyton Manning, Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan, who also hosted NBC’s late-night sketch show.

Lil’ Wayne is tonight’s musical guest.

American swimmer Michael Phelps parties it up with a bunch of girls at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Friday.

With the 23-year-old’s Olympic fame, everyone’s been wondering if Michael has a main squeeze! In a recent interview, Michael said, ‘I never said I have a girlfriend, and I never said I don’t have a girlfriend. My public and private life are separate. I keep my private life to myself.’

As reported earlier, Michael will host the season premiere for Saturday Night Live on Sept. 12 and will also be making a cameo appearance on HBO’s Entourage.

Swimming champion Michael Phelps will make a cameo on the HBO comedy Entourage later this year, reports EW.

The 23-year-old Olympian literally stumbled upon the show’s set while it was recently shooting in Manhattan. Series producer Doug Ellin immediately wrote Phelps into the episode after learning how Phelps was a big fan.

Entourage kicks begins its fifth season @ 10PM on Sunday, Sept. 7 on HBO. For more information, visit HBO.com.

All-time Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps shares a laugh with Minnie Mouse after completing a relay race held at the Typhoon Lagoon wave pool.

Gold medalists Phelps, Ian Crocker and Lenny Krayzelburg visited Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., to kick off a national tour called “Disney’s Swim with the Stars.” The trio will visit 12 cities around the country, with tour stops scheduled to include Atlanta, New York City, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.

“I am so happy to celebrate here and see some of the fans who supported me,” said Phelps. “It’s great to feel so much excitement around the sport of swimming in the U.S. and around the world. To top it all off with a parade at Disney World is just incredible.”
