Orlando Bloom wears a white vest while walking around with some UNICEF staff members at the Za’atari refugee camp near the Syrian border on Thursday (April 10).
The 37-year-old actor spent a few days last week meeting with children from Syria and their families whose lives have been devastated by the conflict which is now in its fourth year.
“These children have witnessed more extreme violence than any child should,” Orlando said. “What is most terrifying is that they become a lost generation. Without urgently needed education, protection and psychological support, their pain and bitterness will turn into aggression years from now.”
During the trip, Orly also spent time visiting families in their homes and sitting in on a music class.
Over the weekend, Orlando was in attendance at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, where he picked up the award for best fight.
