Sacha Baron Cohen Feared For His Life Doing This

Sacha Baron Cohen has opened up about his experience attending a far-right rally while filming for Borat 2.

In an essay for Time magazine, the 48-year-old actor and comedian got candid about what it was like to attend such an event.

“While filming my latest Borat film, I showed up as a right-wing singer at a gun-rights rally in Washington State,” he wrote for the magazine. “When organizers finally stormed the stage, I rushed to a nearby get-away vehicle. An angry crowd blocked our way and started pounding on the vehicle with their fists.”

Sacha revealed that while he was “wearing a bulletproof vest” underneath his overalls for his protection, he felt that wasn’t enough to protect him.

“It felt inadequate with some people outside toting semiautomatic weapons,” he admitted. “When someone ripped open the door to drag me out, I used my entire body weight to pull the door back shut until our vehicle maneuvered free.”

“I was fortunate to make it out in one piece. The next few weeks will determine whether America will be so lucky,” Sacha added.

Sacha had been in the news all this summer with sightings at radical events and pulling pranks on controversial politicians.

Of course, it was all for the film, which will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting on October 23. Watch the trailer here…

Sacha Baron Cohen is Back in 'Borat 2' Trailer - Watch Now!

Borat is back!

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer for the upcoming sequel officially titled Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan with Sacha Baron Cohen returning in the titular role.

Borat is returning to America to marry off his daughter to someone “close to the throne” – aka the White House – in the new movie.

The movie also finds Borat handling the health pandemic, as he quarantines with a stranger he meets at a guns and ammo store, who tells him that Democrats are “more dangerous” than the virus.

The trailer also shows Borat crashing a rally where VP Mike Pence is speaking at.

Dressed up as a Donald Trump impersonator, Borat flings his daughter over his shoulder and interrupts Pence‘s speech by shouting, “Michael Penis I brought a girl for you!”

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting on October 23.

The film is the follow-up to the 2006 film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and stars Sacha Baron Cohen in the title role once again.

The Borat sequel was the first movie made during the pandemic shutdown.

Baron Cohen and cohorts flew to various parts of the U.S. and internationally to shoot the film. As he did on the first Borat, the follow-up film Brüno, and his Showtime summer series Who Is America, Baron Cohen risked his life multiple times to shoot the scenes in this film. Indeed, I’m told by sources that he had to wear a bulletproof vest on two different shooting days and on many days, there were risky and dangerous scenarios in shooting. Baron Cohen managed to do a good job keeping the film under wraps, though word of it has leaked a bit after it wrapped and CAA Media Finance showed it to buyers and set the distribution deal.”

Sacha Baron Cohen Reportedly Filmed & Screened 'Borat' Sequel!

It looks like we’re getting a Borat 2!

Last month Sacha Baron Cohen was spotted filming something in Los Angeles, and now Collider is reporting that a sequel to the comedy has already been shot and screened for a few select industry types.

As of right now, very few details about Borat 2 have been revealed, but a source says the movie will follow Borat “thinking he’s a big movie star after the success of the original 2006 film made him famous, so he’s trying to hide from the public by pretending to be someone else, and starts meeting and interviewing people incognito.”

Another source described the movie as “Cohen playing Borat playing Cohen.”

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan was released back in 2006 and earned Sacha a Golden Globe.

Earlier this summer, this politician called the police on Sacha Baron Cohen after an alleged prank.

Rudy Giuliani Says He Called the Cops on Sacha Baron Cohen After Alleged Prank

Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York City and now the personal attorney for President Donald Trump, says he called the cops on Sacha Baron Cohen after an alleged prank.

Giuliani thought he was going to be doing a serious interview about COVID-19 when he showed up at the Mark Hotel in New York City on Tuesday (July 7). He says that he was offered monetary compensation for the interview and he requested the money be donated to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

After a female interviewer began the interview, Giuliani says, “This guy comes running in, wearing a crazy, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit. It was a pink bikini, with lace, underneath a translucent mesh top, it looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive.”

“This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shake-down, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away,” he added.

Sources told Page Six that they saw Cohen sprinting out of the hotel in a bathrobe, though he was not stopped by cops.

Giuliani said, “I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”

Despite the prank, Giuliani said that he is a Cohen fan and enjoyed the movie Borat.

Just a couple weeks ago, Cohen pranked someone else at a right-wing event.
