Yellowjackets is coming back, but we’re going to be waiting a while.

The Showtime series wrapped Season 2 back in 2023, and fans are already eager to know more about the third season of the show, which was greenlit by execs at the end of 2022.

Showrunner and co-creator Ashley Lyle confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the plan is for the show to run for five seasons.

The third season of Yellowjackets will not be premiering until 2025, executive producers Ashley Lyle, Jonathan Lisco and Bart Nickerson told Deadline on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in January.

Pre-production for the series was shut down just one day after the WGA strike began last May. The writers room for the show reopened in September 2023 after the Hollywood strikes ended.

Showtime is shaking up their programming!

After Paramount Global announced in 2023 that Showtime would be integrated into Paramount+ across both streaming and on TV, the network has made some big TV programming changes as well.

Unfortunately, some shows will not be moving forward in 2024. While some series have been canceled, at least one fan-favorite series is getting another season so far.

The Chi is coming back!

Part 2 of Season 6 of the hit Showtime series is set to air on May 10 on the network, and there are several stars joining the show.

The series, from Lena Waithe, is a timely coming-of-age drama series centered on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.

Ray Donovan fans, get excited!

Paramount+, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, and 101 Studios are teaming up for a new series loosely based on the hit Showtime series called The Donovans, Variety reported Wednesday (February 28).

The series will be fully written by Ronan Bennett with Guy Ritchie attached to direct and executive produce.

The series will be available to Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers later this year.
