Zoe Saldana - Independent Spirit Awards 2013

Zoe Saldana shows her stripes while attending the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach on Saturday (February 23) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 34-year-old actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress, Casadei shoes, Fendi clutch, and Piaget jewels.

Zoe‘s Nina co-star David Oyelowo recently gushed to E! News about her singing in the film

“I think a lot of people are going to be surprised of the sheer power of her [Zoe],” David shared. “She went to work. She is a huge admirer of Nina Simone and that crept into what she did. She wanted to tell the truth and every day we were on that set, that’s what I saw.”
