Lily Collins Shares First Look at Fantine From BBC's 'Les Miserables'

Lily Collins shares a laugh while lounging by the water on Sunday (July 15) in Ischia, Italy.

The 29-year-old actress enjoyed some time off with friends at the Hotel Regina Isabella.

Over the weekend, Lily shared a first look photo of herself as Fantine in the BBC/PBS Masterpiece adaptation of Les Miserables.

“First look! I’m so thrilled to finally share Fantine with you. Just wait until you see her tragic transformation. More #LesMiserables to come…,” she shared on Instagram. Check out the photo here!

The new version will not be adapted from the hit stage musical, but will “delve deep into the layers of Hugo’s story, exploring Valjean and policeman Javert’s cat-and-mouse relationship, against the backdrop of France at a time of civil unrest,” Variety reports.
