Ben Barnes Celebrates 40th Birthday by Announcing He's Releasing an EP!

Ben Barnes has announced some exciting news – he’s launching a music career!

The Shadow & Bone actor took to social media on Friday (August 20), which happened to be his 40th birthday, to announce that his debut EP will be released later this year.

Songs For You will feature five songs that Ben wrote at the piano in his home. The EP will be released on October 15 and you can pre-order the first single, “11:11″ right now.

Ben said in a statement, “I’m fascinated in acting by the duality of people, and that we all have the capacity to feel everything and more than one emotion at a time. I feel that way too about my songs. Even if they seem to be about one thing, I’m interested in conflicting emotion and transitional feelings…the in-between. ‘11:11’ is about real love; the kind of love where you would give up all your wishes for the one you love to feel whole…even if it costs you, even if they can’t ‘be yours.’”

A teaser trailer for the upcoming “11:11″ video was released and it looks like the visual will star Ben‘s Westworld co-star Evan Rachel Wood.

Ben sang a famous theme song at his piano a couple months ago.
