The Real Anna Delvey Is No Longer Being Deported, For Now At Least

Anna Sorokin, who is also known by her alias Anna Delvey, is no longer being deported to Germany… for now at least.

The 31-year-old, who is the real-life subject of the Netflix series Inventing Anna, was supposed to be deported this month after being in ICE custody for the past year.

The deportation didn’t end up happening after Anna reportedly “refused to leave for the airport while her lawyers filed a motion to stay the decision.”

In a statement on Friday (March 25), ICE confirmed to E! News that Anna is still being held in their custody.

The statement read, “In November 2021, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) granted Sorokin’s emergency stay request. Sorokin was granted an additional stay of removal by the 2nd Circuit Court on March 21. She remains in ICE custody pending removal.”

Anna is being held at the Orange County Correctional Facility in Goshen, New York.

In a recent interview, Anna revealed where she stands with the real Rachel DeLoache Williams.
