James Gunn Reveals 1 Actor Who Is Not Currently Part of Superman Casting Process, Despite Rumor He Was Top Choice

James Gunn had an eventful couple of hours!

If you don’t know, James, who is one of the new heads of DC, is working on a new Superman movie after Henry Cavill‘s exit from the role.

Twitter was abuzz last night after “Beyond the Trailer” host Grace Randolph took to Twitter and claimed casting for the coveted role was close to being a done deal.

She stated, “I hear they are VERY close to a #Superman casting – might not be announced for awhile but it could leak. Very very close… Role MIGHT even be cast or in final talks.”

Grace eventually revealed which actor she heard was the top choice, which then caused some inadvertent shade directly from James himself.
