Jennifer Lawrence Learns Her New Comedy 'No Hard Feelings' was Written for Her at CinemaCon 2023
Jennifer Lawrence learned a fun fact about her forthcoming adult comedy No Hard Feelings while attending CinemaCon 2023!
Director Gene Stupnitsky told the 32-year-old Hunger Games actress that he wrote her part with her in mind before playing a clip of the forthcoming release for the audience at the event.
In it, Jennifer plays a down on her luck Uber driver named Maddie who takes a job off Craigslist to bring in some extra money. Only, her job is helping bring her employers’ socially awkward son Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman) out of his shell.

Gene said that his star was “a true comedy natural.” Meanwhile, she joked with him that the movie was based on his personal experiences growing up.
“And this is based on your life, right,” she asked, according to Variety. “But you were a virgin for, like, a crazy long time. You were 26,” she asked when Gene said that the movie was “actually based off a Craigslist ad.”
No Hard Feelings also stars Matthew Broderick, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Scott MacArthur and more. It premieres on June 23.
