15 TV Shows Delayed & Changed Because of the Writers Strike in 2007-2008

The writers of Hollywood are officially on strike.

Thousands of unionized writers are stepping out, arguing that they’re not being paid fairly in the streaming era. After negotiations stalled and broke down, the board of directors for the Writers Guild of America voted unanimously to call for a walkout.

The strike began on early Tuesday (May 2), effectively bringing TV production to a halt and marking the first walkout in more than 15 years.

The last time this happened, during the 2007-2008 strike, it had a huge impact on some of our favorite shows, including major episode losses and scrapped show ideas.
