Pete Davidson's 'Bupkis' Canceled, Source Shares Some Details

Pete Davidson has decided not to move forward with his Peacock series Bupkis, despite its season two renewal last year.

In a statement, Pete said to THR, “I’ve always seen Bupkis as a window into my life, since it is so personal and about my struggles and family. After nearly a decade of my personal life being in the media I wanted a chance to tell my story my way. Of all the work I’ve ever done, Bupkis is by far what I’m most proud of. I am so grateful to Lorne Michaels and Broadway Video, Peacock, Universal Television and the amazing cast and writers for helping me create something honest, funny and heartfelt. I do also feel that this part of my life is finished. I’m very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work. Thank you to all who support me for I am forever grateful.”

Shifting Gears is revving up to premiere this weekend!

The 2-hour Hallmark Channel original movie premieres on March 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, as part of the “Spring Into Love” programming event.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered‘s Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe is making her directorial debut as well, as part of the Hallmark’s Make Her Mark Women’s Directing Program!

Here’s the full plot summary: “Motor City mechanic Jess Barro and her father Ray run their family-owned automotive garage but money’s getting tight thanks to competition from a big auto repair shop chain in town. Her passion is auto restoration and when Jess gets the chance to compete on an auto restoration show, she reluctantly agrees as the prize money would go a long way toward keeping their shop afloat. She’s shocked to discover one of the competitors is Luke, her ex-boyfriend and the son of her dad’s former business partner who cut him out, leading Jess to break things off with Luke. The show’s participants face off in a series of increasingly difficult challenges to showcase their personal style leading to the final round of repainting a classic car.”

“As the competition revs up, Jess and Luke’s personal rivalry becomes a big hit with the audience and producers alike. After a few misfires, they work through their former relationship and start to bond again over their shared love of classic cars. As they speed toward the finish line, Luke has a disastrous painting mishap that threatens to ruin Jess’ chances of winning. And when she learns his dad plans to buy her family’s garage, she suspects the painting disaster was sabotage rather than an accident. The 52-year-old actor has a recurring role in the hit Paramount Network series, portraying the younger version of Kevin Costner‘s John Dutton in flashback sequences.

The Peaky Blinders movie is happening, and a big star is returning!

Creator Steven Knight confirmed the big news while attending the premiere of his BBC drama The Town, via Birmingham World.

The series originally premiered on BBC Two, with its final two seasons moving to BBC One. It then exploded in popularity after heading to Netflix. The series finale aired in April 2022, but the creator had already revealed a movie was on the way.

“The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell. What will happen after that, I want that to depend on the film. For all we know somebody is going to pop out – I think I know who it’s going to be,” he told Esquire UK.

Carlos Sainz is updating fans on his health after having surgery two weeks ago in Jeddah.

The 29-year-old F1 driver was not feeling well and ended up in the hospital undergoing an operation for appendicitis, forcing him to skip out on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Ferrari reserve driver Oliver Bearman stepped in to drive in his place, making his Formula 1 debut and landing the team points as he ended in seventh place.
