On becoming an overnight success after Bridgerton…
Rege-Jean responded, “It’s overnight for everyone else. Nothing changes for me. When it’s tough, when no one wants you in the room, when you’ve got to fight to bust down the door—you do the work, you turn up. It works or it doesn’t. When it’s loud and there’s a lot of attention and people are gassing you up with all kinds of things—some are true, some aren’t—same thing: You turn up, you do the work, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. The trick is to make sure that you focus on your job as hard as you did when you were struggling to get to do your job.”
On why he left Bridgerton and if it was because he didn’t want to become “pigeonholed”…
Rege-Jean responded, “It’s much simpler than that. I signed up to do a job and I did the job and then I did some other jobs. That’s it. That’s the story. I wish it was more glamorous than that. [After] we finished the story, the temptation would be to roll with the distractions and go, ‘Oh, well, the story went really well so we can kind of change this up and make some other stuff up, I guess.’ That was never what we’d signed up to do.”
Two additional stars exited Bridgerton season 3, and one actress was replaced.

Ryan Gosling plays a stuntman in his new movie The Fall Guy and he took his stunt skills to a special new show at Universal Studios!
The 43-year-old actor made a surprise appearance in The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show at Universal Studios Hollywood on Saturday (April 27) in Los Angeles.
The pre-show is part of the WaterWorld stunt show at the theme park and Ryan and The Fall Guy director David Leitch appeared before a performance this past weekend.
In the movie, Ryan stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie—being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt).

The Grammy-winning singer launched the Forget Tomorrow World Tour on Monday night (April 29) at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
Justin performs 29 songs across a two-hour show and he’ll be performing more than 70 shows in over 50 cities through the end of the year.
The set list included “My Love”, “Cry Me a River”, “Suit & Tie”, “Rock Your Body”, “SexyBack” and more including the live debuts of “Technicolor”, “Infinity Sex”, “Imagination”, “Drown”, “My Favorite Drug”, “F****n’ Up the Disco”, “Play”, and “Flame” off of Everything I Thought It Was. Justin floated over the audience on a stage made of an LED screen of tiny mirrors. The screen tilted in multiple angles allowing JT to lean towards the crowd!

Variety shares that it appears as if he’ll be the new principal of Nevermore. The role was Gwendoline Christie in the first season. However, her character was murdered.
Thandiwe Newton – New to Cast
Thandiwe Newton has joined the cast of the second season!
Character details for Thandiwe‘s role are being kept secret at the moment, according to Variety. Netflix would also not confirm her involvement in the show.
Darren Criss is opening up about his upbringing and relationship with the LGBTQ+ community.
The 37-year-old Glee alum, who identifies as straight, opened up about growing up in San Francisco, Calif. and starring in the hit musical series at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) on Saturday (April 27) in Chicago, Ill.
When asked about his character Blaine’s groundbreaking same-sex relationship on the show with Kurt (Chris Colfer), he reflected: “It was f—ing awesome…. Nowadays, we just call it a relationship on TV. But to contextualize it, a gay relationship on mainstream Fox, that’s a pretty cool thing to be a part of.”

“I have been so culturally queer my whole life,” he continued, via EW.
“Not because I’m trying — you know, actually, I was gonna say not because I’m trying to be cool but I’m gonna erase that, because I am trying to be cool. The things in my life that I have tried to emulate, learn from and be inspired by are 100 percent queer as f—. It was in queer communities that I’ve found people that I idolize, that I want to learn something from,” he said.
“And I’d say that’s a gross generalization, that’s a lot of things and a lot of people. But I grew up in San Francisco in the ’90s. I watched men die. There was an awareness of the gay experience that was not a foreign concept to me. So, it was a narrative that I cared deeply about,” he continued.
“[I wasn't] like, ‘I’m the man for the job,’” he explained of his role. “They hired me…They said, ‘You’re the guy,’ and I said, ‘Okay, I’m the guy, I will do my best. I will do my best to talk about it in the way I believe and a way that I’m passionate about.’”
If you didn’t know, Darren has been married to wife Mia since 2019 and share 2-year-old daughter Bluesy Belle. They announced in December 2023 that they are expecting baby No. 2.

“Sonja‘s Townhouse has gone on the market. I’ve gotten so many queries from people wanting Bravo to buy it and turn it into a museum. I think it’s a real fixer upper. I think maybe just better left…if she gets $10 million for it, which is what it’s on the market for, even if she gets eight or nine, she can get a nice, you know, she can get a nice place for that. She’ll be set.”
On BravoCon…
“I read over the weekend that InTouch is blaming me for BravoCon getting canceled…who did I piss off at InTouch? They’re really on me. This is the most I’ve thought about InTouch in a very long time…their theory is that I’m going through it so BravoCon is canceled. I think this decision was made long ago because the availabilities for the location that we wanted to be were, it would’ve been that we would’ve had to have it in I think September of this year or something like that. It was way too soon. It felt way too soon, so I’m glad last year after BravoCon, I remember, and I don’t choose when BravoCon is, but I remember saying to the powers that be at Bravo I hope we’re skipping a year because it just seems…I have no voice in the matter to tell you the truth.”
