Jim Parsons & Iain Armitage Tease 'Young Sheldon' Finale With TikTok 'Filter'

Young Sheldon is officially on TikTok, just weeks before it’s series finale airs!

The first video on the show’s account features star Iain Armitage and executive producer/narrator Jim Parsons, who of course plays the adult version of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory.

Jim is set to make an appearance in the CBS comedy’s upcoming series finale, alongside his co-star Mayim Bialik, and the two Sheldons made a TikTok video leading up to the last episode.

In the video, Iain talks about there being an aging filter on the app and taps the screen before it switches to Jim.

“So apparently there’s a new filter that shows what you look when you grow up, and I don’t know how accurate this is going to be. Let me try,” Iain says before tapping the screen.

After it switches to Jim, he looks at himself and says, “Mm, I’m not sure about this. Oh, it changes your voice too. Huh. I don’t like it.”

One user commented, “The ‘I don’t like it’ is so Sheldon,” and we couldn’t agree more!

If you missed it, a few weeks ago, Jim talked about the upcoming finale and teased his appearance on the prequel series.

The two-part, one hour series finale is scheduled to air on Thursday, May 16th at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

The opening date news also comes after Katie confirmed that they had parted ways with Chef Penny following some disputes about Penny‘s role and salary.

“Ultimately it wasn’t the right fit,” she said on Popping Off With Teddi Mellencamp and Emily Simpson.

Vanderpump Rules is reportedly taking a pause from it’s normal filming schedule.

The Bravo reality series has had quite an eventful last couple of years following the events of Scandoval.

While the show hasn’t officially been announced to be renewed for a 12th season, it’s assumed that it will return, but cameras won’t be rolling this summer during their regular filming months.

The show normally films throughout the summer, and last year, they started filming season 11 at the end of June 2023, just three months after the season 10 reunion, and continued through September.

Now, new reports say the show will take a break from filming, with TMZ first to report.

The site says the reasoning is to “give the cast a break and let their lives breathe a bit in the wake of Scandoval,” and “producers want to let the cast do their own thing for a bit without jumping right back into another summer of filming — all in the hopes that by the time they come back and shoot … there’ll have been some big developments and new drama to capture.”

Another reason for the break from filming could also be due to Ariana‘s new hosting gig that is coming up. The super fan will take over as host of Love Island USA for the show’s upcoming sixth season, which is set to film and air over the summer!

Nia Sioux has revealed the “simple” reason why she decided to participate in Dance Moms: The Reunion.

Back in March, Lifetime announced that the majority of the stars from the hit reality show would be returning for an upcoming reunion special.

However, Nia, 22, was one of the three stars that decided not to appear in the special.

In a new TikTok video, Nia explained why she skipped the reunion.

Keep reading to find out more…“Personally, I wasn’t going to say anything ’cause I just didn’t want to start drama — not that this would even start drama; it really shouldn’t,” Nia shared. “And also, I didn’t want to make it because I don’t want it to seem like I’m searching for attention because I really don’t care. I really don’t need the attention.”

After noting that she’s been asked “a lot” about the reunion, Nia said, “Hate to break it to you guys, but the reason is quite simple. I just really didn’t want to do it.”

“Yeah, it’s pretty plain and simple. I just didn’t want to do it,” Nia continued. “Some people think it was because I had sorority stuff. Nope, I didn’t. Some people think it’s because I’m in school. I am in school, but it wouldn’t have been an issue. I just didn’t want to do it, and that’s a good enough answer and that’s a good enough reason.”

Nia also added that she’s always expressed how “grateful” she is for Dance Moms in “almost any interview I’ve done.”

“It’s where I came from. It’s how I got my start,” Nia shared. “It’s the reason why I have such an amazing life now. Truly, I love my life. I have a fabulous life and I’m truly enjoying it.”

Nia then went on to say that she has no bitter feelings towards any of other former cast mates.

“I love the girls, and I’m really happy for them, and I’m really happy that they get to share how they felt or their experiences, but that’s just something I decided that I didn’t want to do, and that’s okay,” Nia explained. “Also, I never said that I wouldn’t do a reunion show in the future or talk about my experiences in the future, but right now, at this moment, was not the right time for me to do that.”
