'Captain America' Writers Address Whether the Marvel Hero Is a Virgin

Captain America‘s writers are speaking out!

Stephen McFeely, writer on Captain America: The First Avenger, spoke out in a new interview with Yahoo about the character.

During the conversation, the writer addressed a fan question: did Captain America ever lose his virginity, and if so, when?

“Why do people think he’s a virgin?” he asked, addressing the joke as a result of the character being frozen in ice for over 60 years.

“I think he loses his virginity!” he continued, adding that Captain America (and his alter ego, Steve Rogers) likely had opportunities to do so while on his USO Tour.

“If you look like that, and you’re going to city to city, and you’re signing autographs for the likes of the ladies that he’s signing the autographs for, I’ve got to imagine that [he lost his virginity],” he went on to say.

Writer Christopher Markus also weighed in.

“Steve Rogers isn’t a prude. He may be occasionally presented that way. He’s a guy that believes in right and wrong and all these things, but he’s not a choirboy. He’s a World War II veteran,” he said.

A fourth Captain America movie is in the works and it is being developed by the creator of Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier television series! Get the details.

“When I filmed the first Captain America in 2010, two of my high school buddies, Zach and Jon, were my ‘assistants.’ Zach got a lot of great footage. Jon was unimpressed,” he captioned the post.

The video features his friend Jon shaking his head in disapproval after every scene, looking very displeased with his friend’s performance throughout.

Chris Evans recently spoke out amid reports that he would be returning to reprise the character for Marvel. Here’s what he had to say.

Chris Evans Reacts to Reports of Returning to Play Captain America

Chris Evans is not so sure about those reports.

The 39-year-old actor seemingly reacted to a popular story that broke earlier in the day on Thursday (January 14) suggesting that he was nearing a deal to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as his beloved character Captain America.

“News to me,” he simply wrote on Twitter, adding a shrugging emoji.

There was a while where it seemed as if Chris would never return as Captain America: he wrote a post that appeared to say “goodbye” to his character and Marvel after wrapping up Avengers: Endgame. Then, in Endgame, it seemed as if Captain America’s story line was officially ending after a time travel plotline confirmed his character had aged into senior citizenship.

Find out more about the report that suggested otherwise from earlier in the day…
