'Knives Out' 2 & 3 Coming to Netflix, Rian Johnson & Daniel Craig Set to Return!

The Knives Out franchise is expanding in a huge way!

Netflix is closing on a deal to make not one, but two sequels to the 2019 hit movie Knives Out, which would be directed by Rian Johnson and will star Daniel Craig once again, Deadline reported Wednesday (March 31).

Daniel Craig will reprise his role as Benoit Blanc. Rian wrote the original movie, and has written the sequels.

Sources say the deal will be worth more than $400 million, making it one of the biggest streamer movie deals in history.

While the news of a sequel was already known and reported earlier in 2020, it was not known that there was a bidding war between streamers. It appears that Netflix has won out in a huge deal.

The first film cost $40 million, and brought in a global gross of $311 million.

The first of the two planned sequels will begin shooting on June 28 in Greece, and casting for the movie will start soon.

One of the film’s big stars revealed they almost passed on the role.

Daniel Craig Suits Back Up as James Bond For Red Nose Day!

Daniel Craig once declared that he won’t be reprising his role as James Bond after No Time To Die…but it looks like he broke that promise!

The 53-year-old actor has reprised his role as the iconic spy for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.

In the skit, Daniel‘s Bond meets Catherine Tate‘s equally iconic character, Nan, who many remember from The Catherine Tate Show.

The sketch reveals what happens when Nan meets Bond while cleaning the office of the head of the Secret Intelligence Service.

Red Nose Day aired on Friday on BBC One, and the three-hour comic relief special raised around $90m so far to help tackle issues such as hunger, homelessness and mental health stigma.

The skit comes just a few weeks after it was announced that No Time To Die was delayed again, and will now be premiering in theaters in October.

James Bond fans will be waiting even longer to see the upcoming movie No Time to Die.

Now, the movie has been delayed yet again, hopefully for the last time now that the vaccine is rolling out around the U.S. and other countries around the world.
