Jeff Bridges Provides An Update On His Cancer

Jeff Bridges is thankful his wife Susan Bridges encouraged him to go to the doctor when he told her he felt like he had a bone in his stomach while doing exercise.

The 73-year-old Big Lebowski actor was diagnosed in October 2020 with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and was found to have a 9-by-12-inch tumor in his body.

Remarkably, he was able to do fight scenes for The Old Man without any pain before undergoing chemotherapy. “It was slow at first, as they worked to find the right chemo cocktail for me,” he said.Keep reading to find out more…More Here! »

Austin Butler, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Glen Powell were just a few of the stars who attended AARP The Magazine’s 21st Annual Movies for Grownups Awards at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday evening (January 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 31-year-old Elvis star was joined at the event be the movie’s director Baz Luhrmann. They’re up for Best Picture during the ceremony. Meanwhile, Glen was accompanied by his sister Leslie Powell, and Sheryl‘s Abbott Elementary co-star Lisa Ann Walter was also in attendance.

Other stars who showed up included Brendan Fraser with his girlfriend Jeanne Moore, Gabriel LaBelle of The Fabelmans, Jalyn Hall, Patricia Clarkson, Brian Tyree Henry, Annette Bening, Victoria Rowell, Paul Walter Hauser, Frankie Faison, Jeff Bridges and Judith Ivey. Jeff Bridges Walks Critics Choice Awards 2023 Red Carpet With Wife Susan Ahead of Lifetime Achievement Award Recognition

Jeff Bridges brings his wife Susan to the 2023 Critics Choice Awards held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel on Sunday (January 15) in Los Angeles.

The 73-year-old actor will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony tonight.

“From his debut with his dad on Sea Hunt, to his iconic performance as The Dude in The Big Lebowski, to his Oscar-winning performance in Crazy Heart, right through his amazing work in The Old Man, his decades-spanning career is unmatched… We look forward to celebrating his incredible career before an audience of millions of fans,” the Critics Choice Association shared in a statement in December about the award.

Jeff is also nominated for Best Drama Actor for his role in The Old Man.

Chelsea Handler is hosting the show this year and it will air live on The CW.

Just recently, Jeff opened up about being able to walk his daughter down the aisle for her wedding amid his cancer and COVID-19 battles.

Christian Bale Joins Lucy Boynton & More at 'The Pale Blue Eye' Screening in L.A.

Christian Bale stepped out this week to promote his new movie The Pale Blue Eye alongside some of the cast!

The Oscar-winning actor was joined by co-stars Lucy Boynton and Harry Melling at the tastemaker screening on Wednesday (November 16) in Los Angeles.

Also in attendance were writer and director Scott Cooper, as well as Jeff Bridges, who hosted the event. Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao was there too.

The Pale Blue Eye will be released in select theaters on December 23 and on Netflix on January 6. Here is the synopsis: “West Point, 1830. In the early hours of a gray winter morning, a cadet is found dead. But after the body arrives at the morgue, tragedy becomes savagery when it’s discovered that the young man’s heart has been skillfully removed. Fearing irreparable damage to the fledgling military academy, its leaders turn to a local detective, Augustus Landor (Bale), to solve the murder. Stymied by the cadets’ code of silence, Landor enlists the help of one of their own to pursue the case, an eccentric cadet with a disdain for the rigors of the military and a penchant for poetry—a young man named Edgar Allan Poe (Melling).”

Jeff Bridges Talks Walking His Daughter Down the Aisle After Battling COVID-19 & Undergoing Cancer Treatments

Jeff Bridges was determined to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding and being diagnosed with COVID-19 and cancer would not stop him.

The 72-year-old Oscar-winning actor said that he was at “death’s door” after contracting COVID-19 a few months after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

He added that he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to walk his daughter Hayley Roselouise Bridges down the aisle when she got married a few months later. In order to make that possible, he worked with a trainer.
