Celebrities React to Kevin Spacey's Apology to Anthony Rapp

Prominent authors, journalists and actors like Billy Eichner, Dan Savage and Aimee Carrero are angrily speaking out against Kevin Spacey.

Following the 58-year-old actor’s response to Anthony Rapp‘s allegation that he attempted to make a pass on the 46-year-old Star Trek actor when he was just 14 years old on Sunday (October 29), stars are bashing Kevin for coming out as a gay man in his statement – seemingly to deflect from his alleged behavior.

Kevin Spacey sexually assaulting a minor has nothing to do with homosexuality. Also, someone should explain this to #KevinSpacey,” wrote Aimee.

“Nope to Kevin Spacey‘s statement. Nope. There’s no amount of drunk or closeted that excuses or explains away assaulting a 14-year-old child,” added Dan.

Orphan Black's Jordan Gavaris Comes Out as Gay

Orphan Black actor Jordan Gavaris, who plays the role of Felix Dawkins on the show, recently came out in an interview.

The 27-year-old actor spoke with Vulture and when asked, “What is your sexual orientation?” he responded, “Oh, I’m gay.”

“Nobody ever asks me,” Jordan continued. “I’ve never been asked. Like, the whole course of the series. I guess that’s where I’m at in terms of coming out publicly: I had this position when I started on the show that it shouldn’t matter. And I believe that. I hope that one day, the world gets to a place where you don’t need to politicize your sexuality any more than someone needs to politicize their race – that we can just act and we can exist in this Zeitgeist, telling stories about one another. And that no one’s afraid, maybe, to come out. But also that no one’s really hyperobsessed with knowing whether or not someone’s gay. That would be an amazing world to live in, where people don’t feel the need to protect themselves and other people don’t feel the need to launch an inquisition.”

Tatiana Maslany Said Goodbye To 'Orphan Black' Characters With A 'Lot Of Tears And Gratitude'

Orphan Black‘s final season doesn’t debut for another two and a half months (June 10) – but star of the show Tatiana Maslany, has already said her goodbyes to her many characters.

“When we wrapped Cosima, it was like, ‘That’s a series wrap on Cosima,’ and then I had to go and take that thing off for the last time. It was weird,” the 31-year-old actress expressed (via EW) while speaking at her Orphan Black panel held as part of The Paley Center For Media’s 2017 PaleyFest on Thursday (March 23) in Hollywood.

“It was heavy scene work, but just also saying goodbye to so many characters over the past two episodes, wrapping people who we’ve worked with since season 1 and wrapping clones who I’ve been since season 1…,” Tatiana added. “It was a lot of farewells and tears and a lot of gratitude that we got that far, that we got to do five seasons.”

Tatiana was joined at the event by her co-stars Evelyne Brochu, Jordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Kevin Hanchard, Josh Vokey, Ari Millen and creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson.
