Lea Michele has been bringing the house down every night with her starring role in the Broadway musical Funny Girl, fulfilling a longtime dream of hers to play the iconic role.

The 36-year-old actress is also fulfilling a storyline that happened on Glee when her character Rachel Berry starred in the first-ever Broadway revival of Funny Girl after idolizing Barbra Streisand while growing up, just as Lea herself did.

Some of Lea‘s Glee castmates have already rushed to see her in the musical during the first two months of her run, while some other former co-stars have publicly voiced that they will not be attending the show.

Lea will be starring in the show through September 2023.

Glee is celebrating a special anniversary! Fourteen years ago, the hit musical series debuted on Fox, introducing us to so many talented actors, singers and dancers.

The cast made up the fictional New Directions show choir group and was comprised of the likes of Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Darren Criss, Naya Rivera and Amber Riley. Many of them have gone on to find impressive careers in Hollywood.

Lea Michele had a very special Mother’s Day at a performance of Funny Girl!

The 36-year-old Glee actress brought her son Ever on stage at the curtain call of the show, who looked out toward the audience.

Shortly thereafter, Lea tested positive for COVID, and is expected to be out of the show until the Tuesday performance on May 23.
