Maddie Poppe performs a song during part one of the finale of American Idol‘s reboot season on Sunday (May 20) in Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old singer performed three times during the night. She kicked things off by performing “Going Going Gone,” which will be her coronation song if she wins.

Maddie then did an encore performance of her original song “Don’t Ever Let Your Children Grow Up” and ended the night by performing the Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide.”

Maddie‘s hometown visit was shown during the episode and she called it the best day of her life!

The American Idol two night finale is right around the corner!

Maddie Poppe, Caleb Lee Hutchison, and Gabby Barrett will be vying for the title starting Sunday night (May 20).

Each contestant will perform three songs – a Hometown song, repeat performance, and their winner’s debut single.

Maddie will perform her new single “Going Going Gone“, her own original song “Don’t Ever Let Your Children Grow Up”, and Fleetwood Mac‘s “Landslide”.

Caleb will perform his new song “Johnny Cash Heart“, “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley, and “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash.

Gabby will perform “Rivers Deep”, her debut single, Miranda Lambert‘s “Little Red Wagon”, and “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey.

Maddie Poppe, one of the three finalists on season 16 of American Idol, has dropped her debut single “Going Going Gone” ahead of this weekend’s finale!

The 20-year-old singer is one of the dark horses this season and she has proven that she deserves a spot in the final three.

The two-night season finale of ABC’s first season of American Idol kicks off on Sunday night (May 20) and the results will be announced on Monday.

American Idol is hitting the road!

The long-running reality TV competition announced on Sunday night (May 6) that the Top 7 finalists from the current season of Idol, along with special guest Season 8 winner Kris Allen, will be hitting the road later this year.

Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodard will all be joining Kris on the 40+ city tour, which kicks off in July in Redding, Calif. and wraps up in September in Washington DC.

ABC Boy Band winners In Real Life will also be joining the Top 7 on select dates.
