Chicago Fire is coming back soon, One Chicago family!

The show – and all the One Chicago shows – have been renewed for the 2023-2024 season on NBC, and will return sometime in early 2024 for a shortened 13-episode season following the conclusion of Hollywood strikes.

“I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC,” One Chicago creator Dick Wolf said in a statement.

While there are still very few details about the plot of Season 12, we do know who is expected to return, including one person who is leaving after the season ends.

Get ready for a new season of Chicago Fire, One Chicago family!

The show – and all the One Chicago shows – have been renewed for the 2023-2024 season on NBC, with Season 12 set to air sometime later this year or in 2024. (The Hollywood strikes have switched up programming schedules however, and there’s no premiere date just yet.)

Miranda Rae Mayo joined the cast of the hit NBC series Chicago Fire in season four and she’s been portraying Lieutenant Stella Kidd ever since then.

The actress is currently being sued by her former manager, Sheila Crawford of Spectrum Productions, who claims she is owed money from her work on the show.

Miranda landed her Chicago Fire role in 2016 and parted ways with her manager in 2019. She started working with a “new undisclosed management” in November 2019 and the new team renegotiated her contract with Universal Television for Chicago Fire, according to The Blast.

Taylor Kinney is getting married on the season finale of Chicago Fire!

Airing tonight, May 25, the official summary reads that “The big wedding day arrives and Firehouse 51 welcomes Casey back to celebrate the joyous occasion. Meanwhile, Emma’s plans to replace Violet come to a shocking end.”

In a new interview with Parade, Taylor‘s co-star Kara Killmer hyped up not only the return of Casey to the Windy City, but also the highly anticipated wedding between Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd.

The co-stars stepped out at the NBC Fall Junket on Thursday afternoon (September 6) at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City.

They were also joined at the event by Chicago Fire‘s Miranda Rae Mayo and Taylor Kinney, Chicago Med‘s Brian Tee and Chicago PD‘s Jesse Lee Soffer.

Sophia Bush is all smiles while striking a pose on the red carpet at the One Chicago Day Party held on Monday (October 24) in Chicago, Ill.

The 34-year-old actress was joined by her Chicago P.D. co-stars Jon Seda and Jesse Lee Soffer, as well as Chicago Fire‘s Taylor Kinney, Jesse Spencer, LaRoyce Hawkins, Yuri Sardarov and Miranda Rae Mayo.
