Another NCIS renewal was just announced by CBS, and fans will be thrilled!
However, we still don’t know the status of one of the shows in the NCIS franchise, and we’re hoping it’s renewed and not canceled. We’ll have to wait for CBS to decide.

The NCIS franchise is expanding, and it’s thriving more than ever.
In celebration of the series’ 1,000th episode airing on April 15, CBS Studios President David Stapf and CBS’ Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach sat down for an interview with Deadline about the future of the successful series.
NCIS is now the largest procedural franchise ever with five current series, with an estimated global audience of more than 300 million viewers!
During the conversation, they spoke about the expanded NCIS universe, storylines involving fan-favorite characters, and much more.

As of right now, there are three NCIS shows that are either airing now or very recently aired on the network.

The season finale of the new CBS series NCIS: Sydney is airing TONIGHT and we don’t yet know if a second season will happen, but star Todd Lasance is opening up about the possibility.
The first season of the latest NCIS installment was only given an eight-episode order and if it returns for season two, it hopefully will get an extended episode order.

NCIS: Sydney is premiering tonight (November 14)!
The NCIS spinoff series will center on a new team of NCIS Agents teaming up with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), who are grafted into a multi-national taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.
Rick Maier, who is Paramount Australia and New Zealand’s Head of Drama, opened up about the series, saying via Deadline, that it’s “one of the best-loved franchises in the world is in the hands of one of our best production companies. NCIS: Sydney is exciting for all of us at Paramount and we hope one of the most eagerly anticipated commissions of the year.”
