Former Trump Aide Steve Bannon Sentencing - Find Out How Long He's Going to Jail

Steve Bannon is heading to prison.

The 68-year-old former White House chief strategist in the Donald Trump administration was sentenced to four months in prison on Friday (October 21) for contempt of Congress for putting off subpoenas to testify regarding the Capitol riot.

Prosecutors asked Judge Carl J. Nichols to put him in prison for six months for his “sustained, bad-faith contempt of Congress” which “exacerbated” the assault on the Capitol.

Former Donald Trump Advisor Steve Bannon Arrested

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has been arrested.

The 66-year-old has been “charged with defrauding hundreds of thousands of donors through their campaign ‘We Build the Wall,’” CNBC reports. Investigators are alleging he and his alleged co-conspirators defrauded donors and raised “more than $25 million to build a wall along the southern border of the United States.”

The organization was apparently supposed to assist in building a wall on the southern border of America and the northern border of Mexico. Bannon and his alleged accomplices “collectively received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donor funds from ‘We Build the Wall,’ which they each used in a manner inconsistent with the organization’s public representations.”

Bannon served in the first seven months of Donald Trump‘s presidential term. He was eventually fired, which caused a lot of celeb reactions.

Celebs Pull Out of New Yorker Festival Over Bannon Inclusion

UPDATE: The New Yorker has announced that Bannon has been dropped from the lineup.

Several celebrities have announced they will no longer participate in pre-planned panels for the upcoming New Yorker Festival if former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon remains on the lineup.

Bannon, who was once the chairman of Breitbart News, is a featured speaker at the festival and many voices in Hollywood have spoken out against his inclusion.

Even Chelsea Clinton chimed in, tweeting, “For anyone who wonders what normalization of bigotry looks like, please look no further than Steve Bannon being invited by both @TheEconomist & @NewYorker to their respective events in #NYC a few weeks apart.”

Jim Carrey, Judd Apatow, and John Mulaney have all tweeted that they will not participate in the same lineup as Bannon.

Bill Murray Portrays Steve Bannon on 'Saturday Night Live' - Watch!

The identity behind the Grim Reaper playing Steve Bannon on Saturday Night Live has been revealed – and it’s Bill Murray!

During the show’s first show in 2018, the 67-year-old SNL alum revealed himself while appearing on a sketch of The Morning Joe show to chat about the new book Fire and Fury – the book about President Trump‘s White House – along with his firing.

Bill as Steve went on to share what he’s been up to since losing his job as the White House chief strategist – including developing a new line of crinkled barn jackets called “Frumpers for Guys.”

Steve Bannon Responds to 'SNL's Grim Reaper Portrayal of Him

Steve Bannon is finally addressing is infamous portrayal on Saturday Night Live.

Since Donald Trump was elected into office, SNL has been not so subtle on their distaste towards the president and his former chief strategist.

On the sketch show, Steve has been portrayed by a grim reaper running the White House.

In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Steve opened up about the portrayal saying he doesn’t care what America thinks of him.

“I don’t need the affirmation of the mainstream media. I don’t care what they say,” Steve said via People. “They can call me an anti-Semite. They can call me racist. They call me nativist. You can call me anything you want. Okay? As long as we’re driving this agenda for the working men and women of this country, I’m happy.”

Steve Bannon Fired by Donald Trump, Celebs React!

Steve Bannon has been fired from his role as President Trump‘s chief strategist and now celebs are reacting to the news.

“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. “We are grateful for his service and wish him the best.”

While sources in the White House claim that Trump made the decision to remove Bannon on Friday morning (August 18), a person close to Bannon told the New York Times that he submitted his resignation on August 7.

Sean Penn Calls Former Producer Steve Bannon 'Hollywood Wannabe'

Sean Penn is sharing his thoughts about working with former film producer Steve Bannon more than 25 years ago.

The 56-year-old actor and the 63-year-old current White House Chief Strategist once worked together on Sean‘s directorial debut The Indian Runner back in a 1991 – Steve was an executive producer.

Bannon was then, as he is now, simply another bitter Hollywood wannabe who went rogue by way of toxic narcissistic iconoclasm,” Sean told Death and Taxes magazine. “But, deep in his heart, he’s just a conniving hateful bloated punk who despises mankind. And then there are also the bad things about him.”
