The Voice‘s season 11 winner Sundance Head says he has Blake Shelton to thank for his win.

The 37-year-old singer, who was also a finalist on American Idol, explained his bond with his coach helped him take home the win.

Sundance told SheKnows that Blake taught him to “trust [himself] and believe in [his] abilities.”

“We like a lot of the same things. We like to go to the woods a lot and do that kind of thing…We recognized that. That was one thing that helped us to work together,” Sundance explained.

The Voice season 11 finale is set to air tonight, and we will finally know who is the winner of this mega-talented group of singers.

Team Adam‘s Billy Gilman, Team Blake‘s Sundance Head, Team Alicia‘s We McDonald, and Team Adam‘s Josh Gallagher all remain in the finals before tonight’s finale.

According to Gold Derby, a notable prediction site, Billy has the best odds to win at 8/11.

We is in second place with 3/1 odds. Sundance has 13/2 odds and Josh, currently ranking in last place, has 22/1 odds.

Sundance Head took to the stage for three epic performances during The Voice finale on Monday night (December 12).

The former American Idol contestant, who has been a front runner for much of the show, debuted his own original song “Darlin’ Don’t Go” that was inspired by his wife.

Sundance also performed “Treat Her Right” with his coach Blake Shelton as well as a surprising cover of Etta James‘ “At Last.”
