Patrick J. Adams to Make Broadway Debut in Star-Studded 'Take Me Out' Revival

Patrick J. Adams is joining the cast of the upcoming Broadway revival of the play Take Me Out!

The 38-year-old actor, best known for his role as Mike Ross on the USA series Suits, will join a star-studded cast that already includes Jesse Williams and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Patrick will play Kippy Sunderstrom, the best friend of Williams‘ character Darren Lemming.

Here is the play’s synopsis: When Darren Lemming (Williams), the star center fielder for the Empires, comes out of the closet, the reception off the field reveals a barrage of long-held unspoken prejudices. Facing some hostile teammates and fraught friendships, Darren is forced to contend with the challenges of being a gay person of color within the confines of a classic American institution. As the Empires struggle to rally toward a championship season, the players and their fans begin to question tradition, their loyalties, and the price of victory.

The show will begin preview performances on April 2, 2020 ahead of an official opening night on April 23, 2020. The play will be performed at Second Stage’s Hayes Theater.
