Kid Magicians from 'America's Got Talent' Were Arrested Amid Their Parents' Custody Battle

Two young magicians – Kadan and Brooklyn Rockett – who were featured as contestants on the 2016 season of America’s Got Talent were arrested last week in Louisiana.

The teenage siblings were arrested by police in Farmerville, La. after they refused to live with their mom amid a custody battle between their parents.

A court order from Missouri requires the kids to split their between their mom and dad, but TMZ sources say the kids have lived in California with their dad for years and refuse to see their mom. The kids reportedly have said they are afraid of their mother.

15-year-old Kadan and 13-year-old Brooklyn were in Louisiana for their grandmother’s funeral last week and their mom knew where they would be, so she sent the police to pick them up. The kids refused to go with the police, so they arrested the kids.

Kadan and Brooklyn spent the night at the Green Oaks Detention Center and after a hearing in the morning, the kids were released back to their father. It’s unclear what happened in the hearing as the judge ordered it to be sealed.

The arrest was caught on video and it can be seen on TMZ.

“We’ve reached an amicable resolution. NBC Entertainment appreciates the important concerns raised by Gabrielle Union and remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds can be treated with respect,” a joint statement from NBC and Gabrielle’s spokespeople said.

“Reported at length by Variety, Union was ousted as a judge on the Simon Cowell-produced show after complaining of racism, health violations in the form of Cowell’s on-set smoking, and her labelling as difficult in advocating for a functioning and dignified work environment,” the outlet reported.

In an internal investigation that was never formally completed, distributor NBC and producer FremantleMedia “found no evidence of systemic racism but made significant changes to the human resources reporting process for employees at numerous parties involved in the show,” they also reported.

Gabrielle recently opened up about her hardest time in Hollywood.

'AGT' Comedian Stands By Joke He Told That Offended Judge Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum was not impressed with comedian Usama Siddiquee‘s routine during the live show of America’s Got Talent this week.

However, the comedian is standing by the joke he made.

During his set, Usama made a joke about club music, saying that a long as there’s a good beat and a good drop, the DJ could say anything he wanted, even if it’s “women shouldn’t vote.”

“Beats are just too fun. When that beat drops, so does feminism,” he joked. “Some of you are skeptical, but I’ll prove it. Heidi, if I called you a tramp, you’d be like, ‘How dare you!’”

He argued that if there was a good beat going in between repeating the word “tramp,” she, nor others, would mind it. But she did.

“What did I think? I mean, I don’t know. I guess being called a tramp probably was my least uncomfortable part of the whole thing. But that’s just me,” Heidi said during the show in response to him. “But let’s see what America thinks!”

She added after the show that she did “think he’s a very good comedian. I just didn’t love his material so much today. It was just not for me.”

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Usama is standing by the joke he made.

“All love to Heidi. I mean, she’s a star, she’s worked as a judge,” he shared in a video call. “I mean, you know, comedy creates reactions in people, it’s a very powerful kind of art form where you say something and people have visceral reactions to it.”

He added, “I don’t want to apologize… I stand by the joke.”

The results show for America’s Got Talent airs tonight, August 26 at 8/7c on NBC.
