The night before, Taylor performed a show for her Red Tour in New Jersey.

Ed Sheeran recently chatted about almost stabbing Taylor with his Lord of the Rings sword.

“The plane is kind of taking off and [the sword] started sliding down and I was like, ‘No!’ It was just about to impale Taylor,” Ed shared.

Taylor Swift leaves her hotel with her younger brother Austin while heading out for dinner on New Year’s Eve (December 31) in New York City.

The 23-year-old country singer later headed to Times Square to perform on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013 just minutes before the ball dropped.
