'Child's Play' Remake Movie Gets Release Date & First Poster!

A remake of the classic horror film Child’s Play is coming to theaters next year and the release date was just announced!

The remake will hit theaters on June 21, 2019 and a teaser poster was just unveiled.

The new Child’s Play movie “follows a mother who gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature,” according to EW.

Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, and Gabriel Bateman star in the remake, which is directed by Lars Klevberg and produced by the people who brought us the It remake.

Child’s Play was, and is, one of my all-time horror movies and it was one of my introductions to horror,” Klevberg said in a statement. “I got the script [for the remake] and it was really really good, and I knew it was from the producers from It, and I jumped in immediately.”

Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo & Michelle Rodriguez Are 'Widows' at Chicago Premiere!

Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Rodriguez happily flash a smile together on the red carpet at the special screening of their film Widows held during the 2018 Chicago International Film Festival at AMC River East Theater on Saturday (October 13) in Chicago, Ill.

The three ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Liam Neeson and Brian Tyree Henry, as well as the film’s writer Gillian Flynn and director Steve McQueen.

Widows, which will hit theaters on November 16, was shot all over the city last year, which is why the cast returned to Chicago to screen the flick – Watch the trailer here!

Brian Tyree Henry Joins 'Godzilla vs. Kong' Cast!

Brian Tyree Henry has joined the cast of the upcoming movie Godzilla vs. Kong!

The 36-year-old Emmy-nominated actor, best known for his work in Atlanta and This Is Us, will be playing a “significant role” in the film alongside Millie Bobby Brown, according to Variety.

Godzilla vs. Kong is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2020. The upcoming Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, will be released first on May 31, 2019.

Brian will soon be seen in the movies Widows and If Beale Street Could Talk, both of which are getting a lot of Oscars buzz.

Regina King, Barry Jenkins & More Join 'If Beale Street Could Talk' Cast at NYC Premiere!

The 47-year-old Emmy-winning actress was joined at the event by the film’s director Barry Jenkins, as well as her co-stars KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Brian Tyree Henry, Colman Domingo, Teyonah Parris, Aunjanue Ellis, Emily Rios, Diego Luna, Finn Wittrock, Ed Skrein, Ebony Obsidian, Dominique Thorne and Marcia Jean Kurtz.

Also in attendance to show their support was Lakeith Stanfield, Samira Wiley, Naturi Naughton, Josh Radnor, Alia Shawkat and Megan Boone.

'If Beale Street Could Talk' Premieres Official Trailer - Watch Now!

The trailer for the upcoming feature, Barry‘s first film since the Oscar-winning Moonlight, was released on Thursday (September 20).

Set in early-1970s Harlem, If Beale Street Could Talk is a timeless and moving love story of both a couple’s unbreakable bond and the African-American family’s empowering embrace, as told through the eyes of 19-year-old Tish Rivers (KiKi Layne). A daughter and wife-to-be, Tish vividly recalls the passion, respect and trust that have connected her and her artist fiancé Alonzo Hunt, who goes by the nickname Fonny (Stephan James). Friends since childhood, the devoted couple dream of a future together but their plans are derailed when Fonny is arrested for a crime he did not commit.

The film also co-stars Regina King, Colman Domingo, Teyonah Parris, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Beach, Ed Skrein, Diego Luna, Dave Franco and Pedro Pascal.
