Cam Newton will be making his first Super Bowl appearance in tonight’s game and viewers will surely want to know more about him, so let’s meet his girlfriend Kia Proctor!

The 26-year-old Carolina Panthers quarterback has been dating Kia for several years and just a matter of weeks ago, they welcomed their first child.

“My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week. Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes!” Cam tweeted on December 30. “I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time.”

Kia, whose full name is Shakia, is a former model and stripper who has a daughter from a previous relationship. You can see photos of her little girl on her Instagram page.

There are only a matter of hours left until the 2016 Super Bowl kicks off and the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers face off in the biggest sporting event of the year.

The Broncos are led by quarterback Peyton Manning, who is possibly retiring after the game, and the Panthers are anchored by quarterback Cam Newton, who is making his first Super Bowl appearance this year.

Cam Newton wears a pair of funky Versace pants while getting off the plane at Mineta San Jose International Airport on Sunday (January 31) in San Jose, Calif.

The 26-year-old football player and his Carolina Panthers teammates arrived in town this weekend for the upcoming Super Bowl game, happening this coming Sunday.

The pants cost $849 and are from Versace‘s Spring 2014 menswear collection. Right after pictures of him wearing the design went viral, the pants sold out within seconds and tons of people tweeted about it!

“Insane,” Mark Anthony Green, the GQ Style Guy, told ESPN.com. “That’s the gaudiest pair of pants that Cam has ever worn,” he said. “I think he chose to wear them when all eyes were on him. That’s really important. Cam knows people are talking about the way he dresses. He knows, like, ‘Ah, man, these pants are crazy, this will be a moment.’ He leads into the week with that, which I think is really smart for him.”

Cam Newton just became a father!

The 26-year-old quarterback for the Carolina Panthers took to Twitter to announce that his girlfriend Kia Proctor gave birth to their first child over the holiday weekend in Atlanta, Ga.

“My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week. Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes!” Cam wrote.

He added, “I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time.”

In case you didn’t know, the Panthers are currently 14-1 and in first place in the NFC South.

Cam Newton has been released from the hospital following his scary car accident on Wednesday (December 10), according to TMZ.

In addition to his hospital discharge, the 25-year-old NFL football player won’t be charge with a crime after the collision the day before.

“Cam Newton has soreness but is in good spirits. He’s excited to be discharged and begin recuperating with family,” his NFL team Carolina Panthers tweeted earlier in the day.

In case you didn’t know, the Carolina Panthers are scheduled to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday (December 14), but it is still unknown if Cam will play or not.

Cam Newton is currently in the hospital after being injured in a car accident and now his specific injuries are being revealed by his team, the Carolina Panthers.

The 25-year-old quarterback was just blocks away from his team’s Bank of America Stadium when his truck was flipped during an accident.

“Cam Newton is in fair condition and undergoing tests at Carolinas Medical Center and will remain there overnight for observation,” the team tweeted on Tuesday (December 9). “Further testing revealed that Cam Newton has two transverse process fractures in his lower back and no further internal injuries.”

“The quarterback’s injury is similar to what Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered earlier this season. Romo missed one game as a result of the injury,” the team’s press release stated.

Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car accident today in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his truck was flipped.

The 25-year-old pro NFL player was seen on the side of the road “grimacing in pain” and being tended to by several people after the crash. The photo (see full picture below) shows Cam looking in pain, TMZ reports.

He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

The crash comes days after Cam‘s stellar performance in a game against the New Orleans Saints, where he led his team to a 41-10 victory, throwing for 3 touchdowns.
