Gwyneth Paltrow rubs shoulders with Amanda de Cadenet at The Conversation Launch Celebration held at DVF Studio on Sunday (May 6) in New York City.

The 39-year-old actress helped her friend celebrate the launch of her new Lifetime interview series.

“Amanda and I are old friends. We met probably like in 1993 and stayed in touch,” Gwyneth told USA Today at the event. “In the last 10 years, we became really close friends.”

Jessica Alba arrives at the 2012 Diane von Furstenberg Awards held at the United Nations on Friday (March 9) in New York City.

“Heading to #DVFAwards 2nite! I’m so excited to be in a room with so many incredible women! Very inspiring!” the 30-year-old actress, wearing a DVF dress with Christian Louboutin heels, tweeted.

The annual event “honors four recipients who have displayed leadership, strength, and courage in their commitment to their causes.” Each honoree receives a $50,000 award from The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation to “sustain and expand their extraordinary contributions.”

Oprah Winfrey also hit the stage to present an award. She helped honor Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped when she was 11-years-old but found nearly two decades later.

The same night, the designing duo, 24, attended The Cinema Society and Thierry Mugler-hosted screening of Midnight in Paris at the Tribeca Grand Screening Room.

MK and Ashley‘s The Row line is nominated for the New Talent Award at this year’s CFDA Awards.

The event, hosted by Anderson Cooper on June 6 in NYC, will honor Lady Gaga with the Fashion Icon Award and designer Marc Jacobs with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
