Chris Hemsworth cradles his baby daughter India while out with wife Elsa Pataky on Wednesday (May 16) in London, England.

The 35-year-old Spanish actress gave birth to the couple’s first child just six days ago!

“It was just a name we liked, I always kind of liked Indie or Indiana for a boy and she liked India,” Chris explained to E! News about choosing their little girl’s name. “We sorta went, ‘Oh well, whether it’s a boy or girl that will decide.’ It just seemed to fit.”

Earlier in the week, Chris joined Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart at the world premiere of their film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky named their newborn daughter India Rose, their reps confirm to JustJared.com.

The new bundle of joy reportedly was born on Friday (May 11) in London.

Spanish actress Elsa recently opened up to ¡Hola! magazine about sharing her life with Australian actor Chris.

“Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family with them, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life,” she shared. “You can’t ask for more… Since it’s our first child, we don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl, our only wish is that it’s healthy.”

Elsa added, “I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, ‘Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you’re not going to be able to understand what we say.’”

Chris Hemsworth is a dad!

The 28-year-old Aussie actor and his wife Elsa Pataky had their first child together on Friday (May 11) in London, her rep confirms to JustJared.com. No further information has been announced at this time.

The proud parents met in 2010 and tied the knot just three months after going public as a couple that December.

On Friday, Chris‘s flick, The Avengers, also topped the box office with a stellar $29.1 million and could become the first movie in history to earn $100 million in its second weekend.

Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johansson hit the red carpet for The Avengers European premiere at the Vue Westfield on Thursday (April 19) in London, England.

The trio were joined by their co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, and Cobie Smulders. Chris brought along his pregnant wife Elsa Pataky.

The 35-year-old actress’ husband Chris Hemsworth is currently on the promotional campaign for his upcoming flick The Avengers. While at the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Chris told E! that they do not plan on revealing their baby’s gender.

Chris Hemsworth and his pregnant wife Elsa Pataky brave the rainy weather and head to the grocery store on Sunday (March 18) in London, England.

The couple is currently in the UK while Chris films for his upcoming movie Rush.

Chris‘ younger brother Liam recently spoke about their relationship.

“We’ve always been pretty competitive, but in a good way,” Liam told a Sydney newspaper. “I was the naughtiest brat as a child; my grandpa gave my brother the kind of knife you can throw at a tree and it will stick but I threw it at Chris‘ head one day and luckily only the handle hit him in the forehead!”
