Lucy Liu is hard at work on her upcoming show!

The 50-year-old actress spent the afternoon filming Why Women Kill on Tuesday (July 30) in Los Angeles.

Lucy went back to the ’80s in an over the top ruffled, purple dress with her hair teased up high as she filmed a few scenes for the upcoming CBS All Access series.

Why Women Kill, created by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, details the lives of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the ‘60s, a socialite in the ‘80s and a lawyer in 2019, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages. The series will examine how the roles of women have changed, but how their reaction to betrayal…has not.

Back in June, Lucy Liu sported a bright pink dress as she got into character as a socialite for another day of filming.

Laura is a four-time Tony nominee. She previously appeared on Broadway in The Little Foxes.

Lucy made her Broadway debut back in 2010 in the play God of Carnage.

Lucy Liu and James Marsden hit James Corden‘s couch last night (May 23) on The Late Late Show with James Corden!

The 50-year-old actress and 45-year-old actor reminisced about their time together on Ally McBeal, and talked about working with co-star Calista Flockhart.

At one point, James recalled Calista asking him to join her on a first date with her eventual husband, Harrison Ford: “I was a third wheel on her first date with Harrison Ford,” he revealed. “She asked me after we wrapped if I would come along with her to this date because it was a new guy and we felt safe with each other. We went to dinner and then she said they were going to go back to his house to have cocktails, she was like ‘you gotta come with me’, and I was like ‘really?’.”

“I take the credit for that,” James joked. “I’m not sure if he would remember me if he saw me.”

It’s a Charlie’s Angels reunion – and a celebration!

Lucy Liu reunited with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore during her Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony on Wednesday (May 1) in Hollywood.

Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle co-star Demi Moore also showed her support at the event, as well as Rhea Perlman, who spoke at the event. Lucy was also joined by her son, Rockwell Lloyd Liu.

“Sometimes people talk about my mainstream successes as groundbreaking for an Asian, but Asians have been making movies for a long time. They just weren’t making them [in Hollywood] because we weren’t yet invited to the table. If my body of work somehow helped bridge the gap between the stereotypical roles first given to Anna May and mainstream success today, I am thrilled to be part of that process,” Lucy said at the ceremony.

The 50-year-old actress hit the carpet in a pink tulle dress on Sunday night (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 49-year-old actress stepped out with blonde locks while attending the Obie Awards on Monday night (May 22) at Terminal 5 in New York City.

Lucy hasn’t revealed the reasoning behind her hair color change but it could be for her next movie Stage Mother, which is currently in pre-production.

Other attendees at the award show, which honored Off-Broadway theatre, were Andrew Garfield, his Angels in America co-star Denise Gough and Matthew Broderick.
