Mark-Paul Gosselaar Reveals How Much Zack & Kelly Time We'll Get With 'Saved By The Bell' Revival

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is opening up about the Saved By The Bell revival and just how many Zack and Kelly moments fans will get to see.

Speaking with TVLine recently, the 46-year-old actor, who brought Zack Morris to life on the hit series, revealed how much he and Tiffani Thiessen will be involved with the new show.

“As far as I know, she will be in an episode or two with me,” Mark-Paul shared. “She was, at the time, working on [Netflix’s Alexa & Katie].”

He added that their limited number of episodes aren’t “necessarily because of our desire to do it. It was more of a commitment to other things.”

“The fact that ABC is allowing me to do something for NBC, I’m super gracious that they’re allowing me to do that,” Mark-Paul added, while promoting mixed-ish with his on-screen wife Tika Sumpter and on-screen daughter Arica Himmel during the 2020 SCAD aTVfest in Atlanta this weekend.

Mark-Paul will be in three episodes of the revival, and also serve as an executive produer.

FYI: Tika is wearing a Temperley London dress.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar to Play Zack Morris Again in 'Saved By the Bell' Revival Series!

Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been confirmed to reprise his role as Zack Morris in the upcoming Saved By the Bell revival series, which is being made for the upcoming NBC streaming service Peacock.

THR reports that MPG will appear in three episodes of the series and he’ll serve as an executive producer on the project.

Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) and Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) are already confirmed to star in the revival series and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly) is in talks to return as well. The reason why Mark-Paul will only appear in three episodes is because he’s already a series regular on the ABC series Mixed-ish.

The new series “explores what happens when Zack, now the governor of California, gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High.”

Josie Totah has been confirmed to play “Lexi, a beautiful, sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High who is both admired and feared by her fellow students.”

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Reacts to News of 'Saved By the Bell' Reboot: 'I Haven't Been Approached'

Mark-Paul Gosselaar found out just like everyone else about the upcoming Saved By the Bell reboot!

The 45-year-old actor, who played Zack Morris on the hit show, revealed that he has not been contacted about the newly announced revival on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.

“I haven’t been approached, so I’m not involved at the moment,” he revealed to E! on the red carpet.

In the new Saved By the Bell, Governor Zack Morris gets in hot water for closing too many low-income schools. To combat the bad press, he orders California start bringing affected students to the highest performing schools, including Bayside High.

Mark-Paul isn’t sure about his role’s inclusion in the plot.

“I find that odd too ‘cause when I read that I thought, ‘Huh, I’m on mixed-ish,” he went on to say.

“I said, ‘You know this isn’t Mario Lopez that you just texted,’” he said he said to a friend who alerted him via text message of the show’s revival.

However, he did say he’d return if the timing is right.
