'Stranger Things' Renewed by Netflix for a Third Season!

Get ready to return to the Upside Down, because Stranger Things will be coming back a third season!

The massively popular supernatural show will be returning for a third season, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The return date is not yet known.

“Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They’re going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting season three. It provides certain challenges. You can’t start right after season two ended. It forces you to do a time jump. But what I like is that it makes you evolve the show. It forces the show to evolve and change, because the kids are changing. Even if we wanted it to be static and we wanted to continually recycle the same storyline — and we don’t — we would be unable to, just because the kids are changing,” Matt Duffer told THR.

“Last year, we had a lot of little cliffhangers at the end of the season. We didn’t want to do that again. We didn’t want to box ourselves in for season three. We wanted to be able to start season three on a very clean slate.”

We can’t wait for the next season to begin!

Did The 'Stranger Things' Creators Reveal a Season 3 Is Happening?

Stranger Things actors Paul Reiser, Finn Wolfhard and Linnea Berthelsen attend the Vulture Festival’s Stranger Things: Inside the Upside Down at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday (November 19) in Hollywood.

The co-stars were joined at the panel discussion by the creators of the show Matt and Ross Duffer, as well as one of the producers Shawn Levy.

During the event, the cast and crew discussed season two and may have accidentally spilled the beans on a season three!

“We are [in] very early days on season three and we’re still figuring it out,” Ross said, via Deadline. “I probably wasn’t supposed to say that… That’s not official, that wasn’t an official announcement — we’re just working on it, just for our own amusement…for fun!”

Finn added, “Maybe if you guys like it, there will be a third season!”

Sadie Sink Responds to 'Stranger Things' Kiss Controversy

Sadie Sink is clarifying some things that were said about her Stranger Things kiss with co-star Caleb McLaughlin in the show’s season two finale episode.

In a video from Netflix’s Beyond Stranger Things, one of the co-creators, Ross Duffer, said the 15-year-old actress’ reaction to the idea of a kiss was “so strong” and she was “so freaked” that it was “her fault” that the kiss was in the show. Apparently, the kiss was only added to the script after the creators saw how she was “stressed out” by the idea of kissing her co-star.

“I mean, of course I was nervous because it’s a first kiss, right?” Sadie told The Wrap. “But I never objected to [it] or felt pushed into anything.”

“I always felt comfortable and the Duffer Brothers, they do the best job,” Sadie added. “And always create a comfortable space. And if I felt uncomfortable with anything, I wouldn’t have done it.”

Sadie added that she felt “really comfortable” with Caleb as well.

The 'Stranger Things' Boys Expose Finn Wolfhard's Sneezing Problem On-Set

The Stranger Things boys are exposing co-star Finn Wolfhard‘s hilarious and recurring sneezing problem on-set.

Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Noah Schnapp all appeared on The Tonight Show last night (November 2) and had no qualms about dragging their co-star.

“First season, this is when we discovered this whole thing about him sneezing,” Caleb explained to Jimmy Fallon.

Allegedly when Finn said, “The shadow grows in the wall behind you,” he immediately sneezed beforehand, making the serious line a little funnier than intended.

“I don’t wanna get out of character to like throw off the scene!” Finn laughed.
