If you didn’t know, Natalie will be the first female to play the iconic character – and will not be going by “Lady Thor.”

“She’s actually The Mighty Thor. The comics had the female Thor when Jane becomes Thor, and she’s The Mighty Thor,” Natalie clarified.

“We haven’t started. More time to get jacked. Which I have not. I’ve got the carbo-loading down, but not the exercise part,” Natalie explained of the upcoming film schedule, which was postponed amid the global health crisis.

She went on to say she is “very excited” for the new film, which she said will begin shooting in Australia in early 2021.

“Obviously everything is weird because of pandemic time, who knows what’s happening. It will be exciting and I’m interested to see if I can gain muscle.”

She also revealed her favorite Marvel character: Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie, who will also appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.

“Major love for that woman,” she said of Tessa. Check out some photos of Natalie teasing the role with the iconic hammer…

'Spider-Man,' 'Thor,' & 'Doctor Strange' Sequels Get New Release Dates

A bunch of Marvel movies have new release dates amid the ever-changing slate for movies due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Disney had previously announced new release dates for seven Marvel movies, but two of those ones just got new dates again.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had been pushed back to November 5, 2021, but now it has been pushed back another four months until March 25, 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder was given a release date of February 18, 2022, but now it will be released one week earlier on February 11.

Sony, which owns the Spider-Man franchise, has given new dates to two upcoming movies in that universe. Tom Holland‘s third Spider-Man movie has been pushed to November 5, 2021, the date vacated by Doctor Strange.

The sequel to the animated sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is moving from April 8, 2022 to October 7, 2022.

Chris Hemsworth Says 'Thor 4' Is Going To Be Pretty Insane

Chris Hemsworth is spilling new details about the script for the fourth Thor movie, Love and Thunder.

In a new interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer, the 36-year-old actor praised the script, saying “it’s one of the best scripts I’ve read in years.”

“It’s Taika [Waititi, director] at his most extreme, and at his best,” Chris adds. “If the version I read is the one we get running with, it’s going to be pretty insane.”

Taika also spoke about the movie in an Instagram Live with Tessa Thompson.

“There’s so many great, great things in it,” he shared. “It’s so over the top now, in the very best way. It makes Ragnarok look like a really run-of-the-mill, very safe film.”

Taika added, “This new film feels like we asked 10-year-olds what should be in a movie, and then we said yes to every single thing. Space sharks, if you know anything about the comics… That’s all I’m gonna say… Space sharks.”

“You know how that Thor film that was shut down in Australia? It wasn’t anything to do with COVID-19. It was because I got the hammer. I have Mjölnir here. And, look at how easy I can lift it,” she amusingly said.

She also said she’s got stuff from the set of The Hobbit.

“I was looking for my ears—for my elf ears and I couldn’t find them. And I know the kids have Hobbit feet somewhere and I thought, Oh, I’d love to show them to you. Couldn’t find them. But I did find Tauriel’s fighting blades…I mean, some people stock toilet paper, but I’ve got these,” she said.

Taika Waititi Jokes That Tony Stark Is Alive & Returning for 'Thor 4' by Leaking Fake Script

Taika Waititi is playing games with Marvel fans by sharing a fake script from the upcoming movie Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker is returning to direct the fourth movie in the Thor franchise and he jokingly teased that Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark would be returning for the film.

While going live on Instagram on Thursday (April 9), a page from the fake script could be seen on Taika‘s desk while he showed off other things on the desk.

“Thor squints, trying to make out the figure before him,” the script reads. Thor then says, “Do’th mineth eyeth deceiveth me?” before realizing that Tony is in front of him.

When Thor asks Tony how he’s still alive after his demise in Avengers: Endgame, Tony says, “Science. Also, Thanos is back.” He then says that the Avengers are assembling again and it’s “GO TIME.”

Tony says, “Everyone who died is coming back. And this time we’re avenging even more than ever. From now on we’ll be known as… The Avengererers.”
