Cardi B Gets Bernie Sanders' Support After She Talks About Running For Congress

Bernie Sanders would love to see Cardi B as a member of Congress.

The 78-year-old U.S. Senator shared his thoughts about the 27-year-old rapper running after she recently tweeted about her political ambitions.

Cardi B is deeply concerned about what’s happening in the country,” Bernie told TMZ. “She knows what it’s like to live in poverty and struggle, and it would be great for her to bring that experience to politics.”

Cardi B has been outspoken about her support for Bernie‘s presidential campaign since she sat down with him for an interview last year.

Bernie Sanders Responds To Larry David Requesting He 'Drop Out' Presidential Race to Avoid 'SNL' Sketches!

Bernie Sanders has some bad news for Larry David!

The the Democratic presidential hopeful had a subtle response to the Curb Your Enthusiasm actor’s – who often plays Bernie on Saturday Night Live – comment that he would be “great for the country” but “terrible” for him should he win the election.

Larry wants Bernie to lose the presidential race to spare him from continuously having to fly to New York to film for NBC sketch series: “I thought when he had the heart attack that would be it, I wouldn’t have to fly in from Los Angeles. But, you know, he’s indestructible. Nothing stops this man,” Larry said during his appearance on Wednesday (January 8). “I mean, it will be great for the country — great for the country. Terrible for me.”

Colbert then asked Sanders for his thoughts during his sit-down interview on Thursday (January 9) on The Late Show.

“Hey Larry, it’s going to be a tough four years, but you’re going to have to be flying back,” Sanders quickly said.

“As I said before, it’s great for the country, terrible for me. I have to fly in. To do him. Every week. It wouldn’t be pleasant, I must tell you,” Larry said when asked by Al Roker about how he’d feel if Bernie becomes President.

“I’m giving you a good job for four years, and you’re complaining,” Bernie joked back.

Bernie Sanders Channels Lizzo To 'Slow Jam The News' with Jimmy Fallon - Watch Here!

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (November 26) to slow jam the news!

The Democratic presidential candidate slow-jammed some of his campaign’s main points with host Jimmy, and ended by channeling hit-making singer Lizzo‘s current hit “Good As Hell” by the end of it.

“We can no longer tolerate three people owning more wealth than the bottom half of America,” Bernie expressed at one point. “I have the experience to fight for that bottom half and to create an economy that works for all of us, not just those on top.”

Elsewhere on the show, Sanders threw free-shots with Fallon, reacted to getting and endorsement from Ariana Grande, opened up about growing up in Brooklyn, the Trump impeachment hearings and the dangerous realities of climate change.

'SNL' 2020 Democratic Debate - See All The Celebrity Cameos!

Saturday Night Live parodied the latest Democratic debate – and there were so many stars involved in the hilarious skit!

The sketch aired during Saturday’s episode (November 23) of SNL, which was hosted by Will Ferrell.

Maya Rudolph played Kamala Harris, Rachel Dratch played Amy Klobuchar and Fred Armisen played Michael Bloomberg, while Woody Harrelson and Larry David played Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, respectively.

Kate McKinnon played Elizabeth Warren, Colin Jost played Pete Buttigieg, Chris Redd was Cory Booker, Bowen Yang was Andrew Yang, Cecily Strong was Tulsi Gabbard and Melissa Villasenor was moderator Rachel Maddow. Will Ferrell played Tom Steyer.

Fifth Democratic Debate - Stream & Watch the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary Candidates Debate

The fifth debate between 2020 Democratic presidential primary candidates is happening on Wednesday evening (Nov. 20), beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

The event is taking place at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and is being co-hosted by MSNBC and The Washington Post.

The all-female moderator team includes Rachel Maddow, Andrea Mitchell, Kristen Welker and Ashley Parker.

The candidates participating are Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Vice President Joe Biden, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, California Sen. Kamala Harris, businessman Tom Steyer, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and entrepreneur Andrew Yang.

To watch, a live stream will air on WashingtonPost.com and MSNBC.com, as well as their respective apps. The debate will air until 11 p.m. ET.

Ariana Grande Calls Bernie Sanders 'My Guy' In Supportive Tweet

Ariana Grande was cheesin’ hard last night after meeting Bernie Sanders at her Atlanta concert.

In a new post on social media, the 26-year-old Grammy-nominated musician snapped a few pics with him and encouraged young voters to register to vote.

“MY GUY. thank you Senator Sanders for coming to my show, making my whole night and for all that you stand for !” Ariana wrote, along with sharing two pics with the U.S. Senator.

She added, “@headcountorg and i are doing our best to make you proud. we’ve already registered 20k+ young voters at my shows alone. also i will never smile this hard again promise.”

Bernie also posted about meeting the singer on his own Twitter, writing, “I want to thank @ArianaGrande for not only being a wonderful entertainer, but also for being such an outstanding advocate for social justice. We must all be prepared – like Ariana has shown – to fight for everyone who is struggling. It was great to meet her in Atlanta last night.”
