The trailer for Andrew Garfield‘s upcoming movie Silence was released this past week, and now, he’s opening up about why he decided to do the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie.

“I don’t think I am called to be a priest,” the 33-year-old actor told the New York Times about playing the role of Father Rodrigues. “But I had the feeling that I was being called to something: called to work with one of the great directors, and called to this role as something I had to pursue for my spiritual development.”

“Andrew got to the point where he could out-Jesuit a Jesuit,” Martin added. “There were places in the script where he would stop and say, ‘A Jesuit wouldn’t say that,’ and we would come up with something else.”

Last night (November 27), Andrew was spotted cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers alongside a friend and the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Flea court side at their Atlanta Hawks game at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

FYI: Andrew is wearing an Everlane sweater.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have released their brand new music video for “Dark Necessities,” which was directed by Olivia Wilde.

The song is the lead single off the band’s new album The Getaway, which will be released on Friday (June 17).

To promote the release of the album, the band made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden earlier this week for a fun Carpool Karaoke segment.

Olivia definitely has music credibility after working on the HBO series Vinyl! Watch the music video below.

The 37-year-old talk show host joined the guys – Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Josh Klinghoffer and Chad Smith – as they sang a bunch of their hits including “Give It Away Now,” “Under the Bridge,” “Californication,” new single “Dark Necessities” and a song from the musical Oliver!

James and Anthony also end up in a wrestling match after the two have a conversation about Greco-Roman-style wrestling.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers take the stage with halftime performer Bruno Mars for the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime show on Sunday evening (February 2) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The band, including shirtless lead singer Anthony Kiedis, Josh Klinghoffer, and bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary, rocked out to their hit “Give it Away” alongside Bruno. Several of them even went shirtless during the show!

Bruno Mars gives an amazing and high-energy performance during the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show held on Sunday (February 2) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The 28-year-old singer started the show by having a children’s chorus sing his verse from the song “Billionaire” before he hopped on stage for a drum solo.

Bruno then went into his songs “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure,” “Runaway Baby,” “Give it Away” with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and finally his song “Just the Way You Are,” which began with a tribute to army families.

Even though it was freezing cold in New Jersey, both the RHCP lead singer Anthony Kiedis and band member Flea went shirtless. Brrrrr!!!

Elle Fanning and Aaron Paul share a laugh while meeting up at the Variety Studio: Sundance Edition held during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on Monday (January 20) in Park City, Ut.

The 15-year-old actress was in attendance with her Low Down co-stars Glenn Close, Tim Daly, and Flea to chat about their new film. The cast also stopped by the Getty Images Portrait Studio for a photo session that afternoon.

Aaron, 34, was at the studio with his wife Lauren for an interview to promote his film Hellion.
