Melissa Rivers and her beau Steve Mitchel are getting married!
The 55-year-old host and producer was seen wearing an engagement ring last weekend at BravoCon in Las Vegas, and the news was confirmed this week.
However, prior to proposing, Steve, who is an attorney, made sure to get permission from someone very close to Melissa – her son Cooper Endicott!

Amy Poehler gets sandwiched in by a few of her famous friends at the premiere of Lucy and Desi held at the Directors Guild of America on Tuesday night (February 15) in Los Angeles.
Aubrey Plaza, Natasha Lyonne, and Kathryn Hahn all stepped out to support Amy, who directed the documentary, alongside Melissa Rivers, Ike Barinholtz, and Charo.
Lucy and Desi‘s daughter, Lucie Arnaz, was also at the premiere with her own daughter, actress Kate Luckinbill Conner.
When asked at the premiere how she’d like her late parents to be remembered, Lucie said “exactly the way we’re doing it right now. How can it get better than this?”
She told ET, “I mean, 70 years after their show went off the air and hundreds of years after they were born, to suddenly be, I don’t want to say reinvented, they’re not reinvented but rediscovered and re-appreciated and used to teach and to find a better way to live our life [is amazing].”
Lucy & Desi will debut on Amazon Prime Video beginning March 4.

There were whispers over the years that Ellen DeGeneres was involved in a feud with the late Joan Rivers and now, her daughter Melissa Rivers is setting the record straight.

Melissa Rivers is opening up about how the once must-watch red carpet shows aren’t all that any longer.
The former Fashion Police host chatted with Page Six ahead of the 2021 Golden Globes tonight and said that most of the award shows red carpet events have been dying a slow death, and not just because of the effects of COVID-19.
“I think the red carpet has been on life support for quite a while, sadly,” Melissa said, adding that movements like #MeToo and #AskHerMore are part of why there has been a “big seismic shift” in red carpet coverage.
She did add that asking that question of “Who Are You Wearing” supports the designers, stylists and assistants who keep the fashion industry going.
“Most of you are being paid to wear this, so show me in your contract where it says you don’t have to mention who it is. They deserve the credit,” Melissa says. “You’re a walking billboard!”
Melissa also said that red carpet fashion started to decline the day everything got picture perfect.
“Everybody was being paid by designers to wear their clothes or their jewelry, and you lost a lot of personality. That’s not what it should be about! You want to see that people have actually picked their clothes,” she says.
Now with the pandemic and more events going the virtual route, it will be even more controlled.
“With virtual, you’re not gonna have any mishaps, any malfunctions … Which sadly takes a lot of the fun out of it. [Now,] everybody’s gonna be at home with their wind machines, I suppose, making themselves look great. You might as well be looking at a magazine.”
Melissa goes on, “I would certainly hope with the Globes, and leading up to the Oscars, that they say, ‘You need to dress up.’ If you are not shoved into a pair of Spanx that are a size too small and spend half the night uncomfortable, it’s not an awards show.”

Melissa Rivers is paying tribute to her mom, Joan Rivers, on the anniversary of her passing.
The 52-year-old television host released a statement on her mother’s Instagram account, remembering the iconic comedian.

“It’s hard to believe that my mother has been gone for six years now,” she wrote. “Not a day goes by where I don’t think about her — her words still guide me and of course make me laugh.”
“I miss her dearly,” Melissa added.
Joan died on September 4, 2014 – six years ago – after suffering complications and stopped breathing during a throat procedure on her vocal cords.

Fashion Police, the long running E! network television show, will be concluding with a final series-finale special next month.
Fashion Police: The Farewell will air on November 27 and will be hosted by longtime host Joan Rivers‘ daughter Melissa Rivers. Panelists Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes, and Margaret Cho will also be involved.
The episode will pay tribute to Joan and feature highlights from her run as host over the years.
“We’re going to take a look back and celebrate some of the show’s most memorable moments and hosts and gags,” E! president Adam Stotsky said (via Variety). “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the franchise, celebrate Joan and how much we miss her, and pull back the curtain and show fans some things that they haven’t seen.”
