During tonight’s (October 20) premiere of Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again, fans were introduced to Staz Nair – the golden boy playing Rocky in Fox’s remake!

The former model guest appeared in a few episodes of Game of Thrones back in 2011, but it looks like Staz is going to reach super stardom after Rocky Horror!
According to his Instagram, Staz likes traveling, the gym, and shirtless mirror selfies!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again finally airs tonight and some fans are wondering why it isn’t being done live like Grease, The Sound of Music, and others.
Executive producer Lou Adler explained why the Fox reboot is in film form, as opposed to a live musical event.
“We never had any intention of doing it live – and I say we, because Kenny Ortega is the director,” Lou told Deadline. “We really wanted to make a film, and especially with the choreography that Kenny, because of his background, has done.”
He continued, “It’s bigger and brighter and he wanted to be able to take the camera down to the ankle and take it to different positions on the choreography that would have been hard to capture live. I don’t think we would have done it if they asked us to do live – pretty sure we wouldn’t have but they never asked actually.”

Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan take on the roles of Janet and Brad, who of course stumble upon Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s (Laverne Cox) bizarre abode.
Frank-N-Furter is a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious mad-scientist, who is holding an annual Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of Rocky Horror – a muscle-bound specimen (Staz Nair) created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires.
The two-hour remake of the 1975 cult classic was directed by Emmy-nominated Kenny Ortega, who also served as choreographer.

The Orange is the New Black actress was joined at the event by Tim Curry, who originated the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the role Laverne plays in the movie.

Laverne and Tim were joined at the premiere by fellow cast members including Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Christina Milian, Staz Nair, Ivy Levan, Reeve Carney, and Ben Vereen.
Also at the premiere were the movie’s producers Lou and Cisco Adler, as well as Laverne‘s mom Gloria.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is set to premiere next Thursday (October 20) on Fox at 8/7c.
