Ellen Page is all smiles while walking the red carpet at the premiere of Freeheld during the Rome Film Festival on Sunday (October 18) in Rome, Italy.

The 28-year-old actress was joined at the event by her girlfriend Samantha Thomas and they looked so cute together holding hands in the rain!

Earlier in the day, Ellen attended a photo call and a press conference to promote to movie. She was joined at both events by director Peter Follett.

At the premiere, Ellen was asked if she will ever play Kitty Pryde again in the X-Men franchise.

“Sadly, I have no information for you,” Ellen told Cinefilos. “Would I be utterly delighted to continue to play Kitty Pryde? Yes. But I have no idea if…”

Ellen was then asked if she would do a solo film and she said, “I would love it!”

Ellen Page makes her way into LAX airport on Thursday (October 15) in Los Angeles.

“Basically, it’s a film about someone just saying no to you because you’re gay. Saying no to someone who’d spent her entire life protecting the citizens of New Jersey,” Ellen recently said of the movie to the New York Daily News.

“Obviously as an out gay woman I connected to the material,” she added.
