Robert Downey Jr., who plays the title character in the upcoming feature film Sherlock Holmes, joins costar Rachel McAdams for the film’s pre-production press conference at Freemasons Hall on Wednesday in London.

“I think me and [director Guy Ritchie] are well-suited to working together,” RDJ said. “The more I look into the books, the more fantastic it becomes. Holmes is such a weirdo,”

Also present: British actress Kelly Reilly and costar Mark Strong. McAdams will play Sherlock’s love interest Irene Adler, Mark Strong will play the part of villain Blackwood, Jude Law (not pictured) will play super sleuth sidekick Dr. Watson and Reilly will be Watson’s love interest Mary.

This movie has all the right elements to be a box office hit. Let’s hope they do this mystery drama right!

The 35-year-old British actress was white hot in her leg-baring dress. That double-slitted skirt sure is high!

In the film, Thandie plays Stella, an accountant who is the love interesting of mobster One Two (Gerard Butler). RocknRolla opens in North America on Oct. 31.

Madonna comes out to support director husband Guy Ritchie at the world premiere of his new movie RocknRolla at the Odeon cinema, Leicester Square on Monday in London, England.

“It’s the kind of film I like,” Guy said of the film he wrote and directed. “I’ve made a film for me. My inspiration came from the fact that London has changed so much in the last 10 years.”

He even admitted he has already written the sequel: “If people go and see this and like it I’ll make the second one straight away.”

The 50-year-old Queen of Pop accented her pretty black Stella McCartney dress with shiny jewels and sparkly shoes. Madonna has been performing on the European left of her “Sticky and Sweet” world tour. She returns to sing in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie leave their Kabbalah center after attending a service in London, England on Friday, the evening before Madonna’s 50th birthday.

The pair has reportedly been trying to work out their differences and Kabbalah appears to be the focus point of bringing the two together.

Madonna is scheduled to be hosting a lavish party at her Wiltshire home tomorrow to celebrate the big 5-0.

Madonna is on track to adopt a baby girl named Mercy James from Malawi, reports UK’s The Sun.

Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe said: “Madonna’s representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced — all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities. Then Mercy will be able to leave the country for a new life.”

A close family friend revealed: “The adoption process in Malawi is so long and stressful that all the legal wrangling put a huge strain on their marriage. They dropped proceedings to pour all their energies into each other. But Madonna now feels they are stable enough to press ahead with the adoption again.”

UPDATE: “There is no truth to this rumor,” her rep tells CelebTV. “It’s an old one - wasn’t true then or now. Madonna is starting her tour in a week.”

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie’s 2-year-old adopted son, David, became a big brother when his birth father, Yohane, and his now wife, Flora, welcomed a new son on July 20.

“It’s too early to say if he looks like David,” says Yohane, who wants the two brothers to meet.

“I’m confident they will,” he reveals. “It’s my duty as their father to make sure they know about each other and respect and help each other.”

Yohane hasn’t named his new son yet. But talk about milking it!

Madonna and her family go to a Kabbalah center with an iced coffee in hand on Saturday morning.

In “Life With My Sister Madonna,” Christopher Ciccone explains that Kabbalah, the mystical form of Judaism, has kept his sister’s marriage to Guy Ritchie together until now.

“Their life together is sometimes difficult,” Ciccone wrote in the excerpt, which was published in the U.K.’s The Mail on Sunday. “A Kabbalah rabbi would regularly come down from London to mediate between them. This does not surprise me. I believe that Kabbalah is helping keep Guy and Madonna together.”

According to her brother Christopher, Madonna and Ritchie still love each other, despite rumors that they are splitting up and believes they are “passionately committed” to staying married.
