'The Marvels' Gets New Look Trailer & IMAX Poster Showcasing Trio of Heroes

The Marvels is gearing up for its theatrical release!

Marvel Studios unveiled a new look at the upcoming movie today (September 12) paired with a new poster promoting The Marvels‘ IMAX release.

The action-packed 30-second trailer features main heroes Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) wielding their unique super powers in battle.

The Marvels releases in theaters and IMAX on November 10.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’”

Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels‘ cast includes Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson in support of its main stars Brie, Iman, and Teyonah.

'Oppenheimer' Extends Run in IMAX Theaters Until The End of August

Oppenheimer is extending its run in IMAX theaters!

Originally set to end in the middle of August, the 70mm format screening of the Christopher Nolan film will now run until the end of the month, according to Variety.

“It actually looks better in film,” Imax CEO Richard Gelfond shared with the outlet on why the run was extended. “It’s not just about nostalgia. It’s a better experience.”

His comments echo Christopher‘s, who has urged fans to go see it in that format over a regular movie screen for the optimal experience.

Richard added that with Oppenheimer, the physical reels are 11 miles long and weigh 600 pounds.

The process is “time consuming and expensive,” he shared, but “worth it.”

Just last month, it was reported that some IMAX tickets for the movie were being re-sold at around $1000!

While Oppenheimer is still in theaters, a Bluray format will be coming soon. But just don’t expect any deleted scenes to be on it.

Certain 'Oppenheimer' IMAX Screenings Will Have No Trailers Attached for a Fascinating Reason

If you’re seeing Oppenheimer on the big screen, you might want to get there early as certain screenings will not be showing any trailers… and there’s a fascinating reason.

The only screenings affected will be IMAX 70MM showings, which are only playing at 19 theaters across the United States. Most IMAX theaters will not be showing the 70MM version, so make sure to check before buying your tickets.

“The sharpness and the clarity and the depth of the image is unparalleled,” director Christopher Nolan told AP about screening the movie on 70MM. “The headline, for me, is by shooting on IMAX 70mm film, you’re really letting the screen disappear. You’re getting a feeling of 3D without the glasses. You’ve got a huge screen and you’re filling the peripheral vision of the audience. You’re immersing them in the world of the film.”

So, why won’t the screenings have trailers?
