Will Ferrell & Longtime Producing Partner Adam McKay Part Ways

Will Ferrell and producer pal Adam McKay have decided to go their separate ways.

The two first met when they were hired on the same day by Saturday Night Live back in 1995. 13 years later, they formed the multi-platform comedy generating production company Gary Sanchez, later branching into a female-centric offshoot, Gloria Sanchez.

Together, they worked on tons of comedies together including Anchorman, Step Brothers, and Daddy’s Home. Will starred in the films while Adam directed.

“The last 13 years could not have been more enjoyable and satisfying for the two of us at Sanchez Productions,” the two said in a statement via Deadline. “We give massive thanks to our incredible staff and executives and all the writers, directors and actors we worked with through the years. The two of us will always work together creatively and always be friends. And we recognize we are lucky as hell to end this venture as such.”

It is being reported that they will remain friends, but their production companies will dwindle down after releasing their existing projects.

Zooey Deschanel Wasn't the First Choice for 'Elf' Role

Zooey Deschanel almost didn’t play Jovie in the fan-favorite movie Elf, also starring Will Ferrell.

“I went in as a backup,” Zooey told Variety back in November about her role in the film. “The person they cast couldn’t do it. A lot of the parts I got early in my career, I was filling in for someone else who had dropped out last minute.”

In addition, she said of her blonde hair in the film, “What is funny is I had dyed my hair for a screen test for a movie that never happened. I had a meeting for ‘Elf’ while I was blonde, and I asked them if I could dye my hair back brown. They said ‘No, we want you to look the way you did in your audition.’”

RuPaul Wants James Corden to Judge UK Edition of 'Drag Race'!

RuPaul hit James Corden‘s couch on The Late Late Show on Thursday night (December 20) and dished about the upcoming UK-version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which is set to debut on the BBC Three in 2019!

“I don’t want to get in any trouble but British drag queens, it’s a long-held tradition in England – and it’s a little snarkier, you know,” the 58-year-old Emmy winner expressed. “It’s a little more twist of the phrase. Here the kids want to be like their favorite pop stars but in England it’s a little different.”

“I’m going to find out more about it once we go there,” Ru added before getting an absolute “yes” from James to join an episode as a judge in Britain.

RuPaul also talked about new episodes of Drag Race All-Stars 4 and Will talked about filming his Christmas classic Elf – Watch more after the cut!

Will Ferrell Avoids Answering All Questions on James Corden's 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts'!

James Corden played another amazing game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts on The Late Late Show last night (December 20), except this time, with Will Ferrell!

The premise of the game is you either answer a juicy question, or eat something disgusting (like bird saliva or fish eyes).

Will was asked by James: “Which of your movies are you least favorite,” (he didn’t answer), and “Who is the most difficult host of SNL while you were there?” (he also didn’t answer).

The absolute highlight of the entire segment came when Will placed giant water scorpion in front of James: “You’ve had these people in your band since the show started. Obviously, you know their first names,” Will said. “What are their last names?”

Watch it all go down below!
